The Gumbo Band:
The Gumbo Band is a Mardi Gras Marching, Wedding, and Funeral Band. We also do Zydeco stage shows, including Blues, Jazz, Dixie Land and R&B.
We have special arrangements for classic Cajun, Zydeco, Jazz-Blues-Funk-& Gospel songs!
As Ambassadors of the authentic New Orleans sound we perform at Parades, Funerals, Fairs, Weddings, Special Events, etc. We're very versatile in order to fit your request!
The Gumbo Band is lead by Drummer Paul Tillman Smith, feel free to google (link hidden)e Gumbo Band is fifty years old and was founded by Henry Clement, better known as "King Takawaka", lol . Henry passed the Band over to fellow musician Paul.

If you desire a true New Orleans sound for your party, this is the band to hire! They are the real deal. You can tell the band has been playing together for a long time, and they are a great musical team! They know all of the songs by heart, are well trained in various forms of New Orleans style music, and add great festiveness to events. I would highly recommend them for any party!

The Gumbo Band is being sponsored by the non-profit organization Bay Area Jazz Society, a non profit. The Gumbo band is a party Mardi Gras marching, wedding and funeral Band. We also do Zydeco stage shows, including Blues, Jazz, Dixieland, and R&B. featuring world class vocalists and instrumentalists.
SHOW-STOPPING High Energy ENTERTAINMENT. We have many special arrangements to class Cajun, Zydeco, Jazz-Blues-Funk-& Gospel classics!
As Ambassadors of the authentic New Orleans sound we perform at Parades, Funerals, Fairs, Weddings, and Special Events, etc. We're very versatile with any style of music in order to fit your request!
•Because we are represented by a 501-C-3 non Profit (BAJAZZS) based on certain circumstances we are negotiable with the price and size especially in order to help families if necessary! I would very much like to discuss your circumstances with you. The prices below are for 30 minutes to one hour or possibly longer of course. Let’s walk and talk.
1. Booking and leaders fee $100.00
2. 6 piece Band: $1200.00
3. 7 piece Band: $1500.00
4. Our normal Band size is 8 musicians. The cost between $1500.00 to $2000.00.
5. Parades can include up to ten musicians.
7. Prices may vary for a marching Band coupled with a stage show. Stage shows may include extra musicians, e.g., accordion, piano, bass, guitar, vocalist, etc. The price will go up per musician added.
8. Some prices may be negotiable based on individual needs.
9. Prices may vary based on distance and of course for out of state performances.
