The Hourglass Cats

The Hourglass Cats are available from anywhere from a solo act / One Man band all the way up to an 8 piece power house with horns, keys, percussion and DJ decks. We are an active touring original band that is also available as a cover band. We cover a wide range of genres and styles and have a vast song selection that covers modern hits all the way back to some oldies all with an Hourglass twist on it. We are adaptable to just about any type and size of party. We can tone down for a small backyard pool party to a rambunctious wedding with the entire wedding party all hitting the dance floor. We bring all our own sound equipment and are very adaptable to just about any stage and volume levels needed. We always come with good energy and love to bring good vibes to every party we are a part of.

Sonoran outfit The Hourglass Cats, or THC, are a high energy Desert RockNRoll, Reggae & Hip Hop collective based out of Phoenix, AZ. Formed in 2012 by frontman Cori Rios, The Hourglass Cats’ consists of Chaz Fertal (Saxophone), Cristian Ritchie (Bass), Enrique Naranjo (Drums), Henri Benard (Percussion), Jesse Morrison (Keys) Josh Montag (Drums/Percussion) & Phelan Parker (Saxophone & Decks) Lisa Lizanec (Trombone).
Known for their high energy live shows, relentless gigging schedule and for recording and performing all their music in 432 Hz. THC finds their true uniqueness in their ability to effortlessly blend multiple genres to create a sound smoothie that is very unique to the Sonoran desert that they call home. The Cats have played shows all over the Southwest, West Coast and even parts of Northern Mexico including festivals like SXSW, McDowell Mountain Music Festival, ALMF, Wake Up Call, Circus Mexicus and many more. They have been blessed with the opportunity to share stages with acts like Portugal The Man, Slightly Stoopid, Passion Pit, De La Soul, Cee Lo Green, STRFKR, Allen Stone, Dispatch, Tribal Seeds, and many more. THC has garnered regular radio play and repeat appearances on various radio stations around the valley including Alt AZ 93.3, KUKQ Phoenix, KWSS 93.9 FM, Melange Cafe Online Radio and KJZZ Phoenix 91.5 FM. They Have been featured in publications such as Paste Magazine, Phoenix New Times, Yabyum, AZcentral & many more Arizona based Magazines.

We are very adaptable to just about any performance situation and would only need access to power within 50 feet, level ground and access to shade if it is high heat levels.
