They have a great sound and play a nice range of cover songs. They were very thorough and communicated well. We enjoyed having them at our event.
Fun band. Great Set list. Very easy to work with. Great value.
Response from The House Band:
Thank you for the great review Rick!
The House Band performed at my daughter's wedding reception and they did an absolutely fabulous job! They have a great selection of music to chose from and they allowed us to select songs from their list and they also learned some songs for us that were not on their list. The guests made many comments about how great they were, which made us parents even happier that we chose them for this special day!

PAUL KENDRICK
Vocalist, Guitar
From the time Paul sat at his grandfather’s feet as a small child listening to him play “oldies” on the electric guitar, Kendrick has been enamored with the 6-stringed instrument. Learning guitar by watching his grandfather and then by self teaching eventually led to involvement with the high school jazz band. In 1985 after high school Paul ventured into the world of live music entertainment – concerts, clubs, homecomings, proms, weddings, special events -- you name it. Kendrick first spent two years on vocals and guitar with the hard-rock band “Midnight Cruze”, based out of Hannibal, MO. From there he moved on to serve for over 30 years on vocals, bass, keyboards, and guitar -- whatever was needed -- with the popular mid-Missouri cover band “Black Tie” based out of the Hannibal, MO area. Kendrick has also done work over the years with mid-Missouri artists Candy Coburn, SoulRoot, Jordan Heckemeyer, Valid, Remove the Silence, as well as serving on the praise team at the Woodcrest Chapel church in Columbia.
Over the years, Paul and his Black Tie mates have had the honor of serving as the opening act for national touring artists 38 Special, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Cheap Trick, Survivor, The Romantics, Black Oak Arkansas, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Head East, Steppenwolf, David Allan Coe, Confederate Railroad, and The Edgar Winter Group. In addition to now being a full-time member of The House Band, Paul also occasionally still helps out when needed with SoulRoot and Jordan Heckemeyer, and he remains active on a part-time basis with Woodcrest Chapel.
