Everyone loved them they had the perfect touch for my wedding and are very talented!
Wonderful communication and great music!
Exactly what we'd hoped for!
The Huimminbirds were amazing and the crowd loved them! They were a perfect fit for the outdoor Cider Days Festival.
I highly recommend them!
The Humminbirds made our wedding so special! They even learned a song for us to walk down the aisle to which was so amazing. They were responsive and open through the process, and totally delivered. They were incredibly cool and flexible when the weather moved the ceremony inside.
My only regret is we were gone for the whole time they were playing!
The Humminbirds were wonderful. They went out of their way to accommodate us. They played songs we requested and played back up for a special song. Everyone at our event loved them.
The Humminbirds were the perfect choice for our corporate event at Bigsby's Folly. Their sounds was terrific and enjoyed their repertoire immensely.
We loved working with the humminbirds! They learned and played a beautiful tracy chapman song for us to walk down the aisle to. The bluegrass-y vibe was perfect for our ceremony. They patiently moved the wedding date 3 times due to the pandemic, and were great to work with. Highly recommend having them at your next event
The Humminbirds played during our outdoor wedding and they were amazing! They even learned our first dance song which was so special! I would recommend this band to anyone looking to add something special to an event.
The Humminbirds provided the music at our school auction at the Denver Botanic Gardens. They were professional, flexible and SO TALENTED! Thank you so much - a true musical gem!
Response from The Humminbirds:
Thank you for the kind review! We thoroughly enjoyed the event for an excellent cause and in beautiful surroundings at Denver Botanic Gardens!
The Humminbirds were a fantastic addition to our party. They were communicative, on-time and added great energy - not to mention beautiful harmonies. Would highly recommend.
This band was perfect for our school event. Everyone enjoyed them so much! And as the person who booked them, they were professional, easy to work with and friendly. Would highly recommend!
We hired the Humminbirds to play at my husbands backyard 40th birthday party. They were great! Great energy. The lead singer has a beautiful voice. Our neighbors were texting and asking us for more! We actually had to reschedule and the Humminbirds were so understanding and really great to work with for us to reschedule and make it happen. I would definitely hire them again!
The Humminbirds came to our backyard to play a high school graduation party and they were literally perfect. EVERYONE enjoyed them and they were super easy to work with/very accommodating. They made the evening very enjoyable - relaxing but fun/cheerful. I would 100% hire them again in the future and highly recommend them to others!! Excellent musicians.
Response from The Humminbirds:
Thank you for providing a beautiful backyard in an awesome Colorado neighborhood! A hearty congrats to Austin and hope he keeps playin' that guitar! Thank you!
The Humminbirds played for a Drive Up Church Service at the senior living community I work at. They were flexible, great with communication, kind and were wonderful musicians.
I cannot recommend them enough! THANK YOU!
The Humminbirds came up to Deckers to play at our outdoor conference. I'm not sure they knew exactly what they were getting into, but the showed up, hiked up a hill to get to the outdoor amphitheater and played a magical set for 100 product design professionals. It seemed like they were having just as much fun as all of us!
Response from The Humminbirds:
Thank you, Chris! You guys were a real treat to play for, and we had a blast! Thanks for being so accommodating and for having us up at such a beautiful setting.
The Humminbirds played our Labor Day wedding and it couldn't have been more perfect. They knew exactly what to do for the ceremony and even took the time to learn a specific song for us! It was so nice to not have to worry about making any additional decisions or having to be in constant contact. We received numerous compliments from young and old guests that they loved the band. My only regret is that I (the bride) was sooo busy that day and at the reception that I didn't actually get to meet them or thank them in person. I would HIGHLY recommend them!
Response from The Humminbirds:
Thank you, Shannon! It was a perfect day and a beautiful wedding. We wish you the best!
The Humminbirds were everything we hoped for - they brought great music and harmonies, lots of energy and everyone commented how good they were. I'm almost certain they learned at least one song we had requested, they were so willing to work with our program and they were good both front and center and also as background music. They arrived on time, set up everything, did all their sound checks while we continued to set up food, etc. I highly recommend them.
I just got married on Saturday (10/15/16), and although I really wanted a bluegrass band for the reception, the venue included a DJ which we would have paid for whether or not we would use them (so we used them to save money). Therefore, we had decided to find a band for the cocktail hour ... and half. And it was perfect! My vision was they would play outside in between the lawn games and the bar area, creating a festive environment. And.it.was.perfect. They are so incredibly beautiful and talented and we lucked out that they didn't need electricity, and the acoustics were on point, for being outside (weather helped also!). Prior to the wedding day, I had wanted to play mandolin (surprise my finance) of which he bought me years ago for my birthday. The Humminbirds worked with me, and practiced with me, and was willing to practice with me more (such patient people!), but I found out that due to logistics of sunset times and getting those photographs, I was probably not going to make it back in time. However, Mike and Cami were incredible to work with, and just beautiful people in general. I wish I could give more stars!!!!
Response from The Humminbirds:
Sarah: Thank you for your kind words and review! We thoroughly enjoyed working with you and the Lower Lake Ranch is so beautiful!
These guys were responsive, reliable, and overall a joy to work with. More over they played two amazing sets of beautiful bluegrass that made our wedding complete! I'd book them again in a heartbeat.
Response from The Humminbirds:
Christina, Thank you for your review. Pastures of Plenty is a wonderful setting. Congratulations!
The hummin birds played our August wedding (ceremony and cocktail hour) on a farm in Lyons, CO and it was gorgeous. Most of our guests were from out of town, and the folk-bluegrass blend they played was the perfect mountain music to showcase Colorado. They were punctual, professional and dressed the part. Easy to work with, and extremely talented, I would highly recommend them.
I got to see them in Englewood. or should I say (I was lucky to see them play)there are a must see/hear. WoW!

We use our own high end sound gear which allows us to control the sound quality under any circumstance. The Hummin’Birds began as a duet in Minneapolis, MN in 2005. Founding members Mike Silbernagel and Cami Harris were both active in the Minnesota bluegrass and old time music community playing in groups including The Bluegrass Buddies, the Ditch Lilies, and the Boot Draggers. They began harmonizing together on songs by artists such as the Louvin Brothers, Flatt & Scruggs, and the Stanley Brothers. The two won 1st place in the 2006 Minnesota Bluegrass & Old Time Music Association duet contest at the Minnesota State Fair before moving to Denver, Colorado later that fall. Over time, several talented musicians have been included in the main line-up.
The Hummin’Birds engage wide ranging styles including country, bluegrass, old-time, swing, and good old time rock and roll. They can usually be found playing weddings and other events in a rustic, mountainous setting somewhere in Colorado.
Simple set up - we typically use one microphone in a typical room size with our compact sound system. Access to one standard outlet required.
