The Illusionist, Tom Coverly

I have known Tom Coverly for over 20 years; and his passion to reach teens has never waivered. Coming from a tough neighborhood in South Jersey where broken families, failing schools, and gang activity was the norm, Tom's life was powerfully transformed by Christ after hearing the Gospel as a teenager. Not long after Tom's life calling was clear: he wanted to reach out to teens with the message of hope and love that is found only in Jesus. Over the years the Lord has gifted Tom to be able to present the Good New in very creative and entertaining ways that have captured the hearts of both teens and adults who come to his events. As a long-time friend and pastor, I have appreciated Tom's desire to put his all into this ministry in order to reach out to teens who were like him--without Christ, struggling to find their way, and at risk to become another statistic. Because of this, Tom is always seeking new ways to connect with teens and expand his outreach; so whether he is leading a school assembly that addresses issues like bullying or whether he is sharing the stage with rock bands at a Christian music festival, Tom gives his very best to those young people. I am confident that whatever venue God provides for Tom he will be used by the Lord to reach kids, teens, and adults with Christ's love through his illusions, personal testimonies, and Gospel preaching.

When I was a manager at Sprint I booked Tom for a customer appreciation event. Tom showed up and set up on time. His Illusions dazzled the customers that came in. Many of the customers who came in stayed for his entire performance. What I liked about Tom's show is that he was able to entertain such a diverse crowd. He was able to get children, adults, and even high school and college age students into his show. The event was fantastic, even our corporate marketing representative came in from Chicago to catch the event and was blown away. I highly recommend Tom without any reservations. He is professional and his Illusions will amaze you!

I saw Tom at a award/appreciation show and he did not let down on his illusion/showman ability. Tom was an extremely talented illusionist. And he is an even better communicator which those two combinations make him very entertaining. He is engaging from beginning of the show until the end. He uses a mixture of true skills and personal stories throughout the show. He also engages the audience by interacting with them, and like any good showman, he knows how to utilize humor so that the audience is laughing with him, at him, and just in general. His illusions are quite believable and impressive. All around great show and would see him again if the opportunity presents itself.

Looking to up your Wow Factor? Tom Coverly knows how to engage a crowd. In fact, I've watched him do it for years alongside some of the biggest names in Christian music. He's a positive teen-magnet and role model that uses his illusions and cool factor to drive home a powerful message. This dude connects! As a fellow illusionist/youth speaker I strongly urge you to learn more about his story. I've had the pleasure of performing alongside him. We have seen Tom perform multiple times the past 3 years-we have hired him to perform for 3 area events and they have all had great responses from those in attendance. He speaks about his faith in the Lord with no reservations and his story is powerful. We are grateful for his message and pray that he continues to be able share his story to young people in the nation. We love his passion.

Tom came to our church (www.crosspointecommunitychurch.org) earlier in 2012 and did an awesome job. The illusions were great but his presentation is much more than illusions. He is gifted at allowing his personal story/journey towards Christ infiltrate his entire presentation. This helps him "connect" to the audience - both you and old!

He doesn't allow his show to end at illusion but instead takes the opportunity to present - clearly - the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how it can transform those in the audience in the same way that it has him.

As the longest running Christian Music Festival in the Southeast we have a pretty high bar that our artists must reach for us to allow them to take the JFEST stage.

In other words, Tom is the REAL DEAL. I have been HONORED to work with Tom in the past and let me tell you, "He is a PRO!" both on stage and off. He truly care about his audience - he hangs out with them, gets to know them both before and most importantly after the show. When most entertainers walk off stage they get on their tour bus and leave immediately. NOT TOM. Besides just getting a great guy at your event - you get a phenomenal artist at what he does. His show is Electric and Energizing - did I mention he is pretty funny too! His shows are for all ages! Last thing, Tom is so good that he walks around with an illusion everyday. That's right, Tom is so good at what he does that people actually think he is bald. I don't know how he does it. I have looked for mirrors around his head but I just can't figure that trick out. Tom was part of Rock the Ranch Music & Family Festival in Sunfield, Michigan. There were a total of 9 speakers and 9 bands for a 1 day event. He was part of team of speaker who reached 10,000 students in 6 school districts in one day. He spoke in Porltand, Michgan middle school was fanatastic as as the festival the following day. Tom has a powerful personal story that engages and speaks to the hear to the heart of the audience. His illusions are awesome, professional presented with humor. I would recommend Tom for any event you are planning.

Tom is a lot of fun, and has a great testimony that penetrates the hearts of everyone. We have had Tom do several events for our kids and they have loved it every time. If you are looking for a speaker for your next event Tom is your guy.

We had seen Tom perform quite a few times but most recently it was at a charity event for the Crohn's and Colitis foundation. He performs amazing illusions and if you watch the audience while he's performing, they are always engaged. His tricks impress people of all ages. He always makes sure to involve the audience as volunteers and the kids love it. He doesn't just perform when he's on stage. If you catch him before or after his shows, he will always have a trick ready for you. He is also the same person offstage as onstage. You can tell he's very genuine because he is always willing to talk to his fans or listen if they want to tell their story. He also has a wonderful testimony and a powerful message. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to be entertained or inspired.

Tom has joined us a number of times at BTF. He mesmerizes the crowds with his illusions and humor... Best of all from our perspective, each one of his illustrations is woven with the truths of the Gospel, bringing the Word of God to light for the truth that it is. Tom is an incredible entertainer and a great illusionist. His shows are always exciting and mind blowing. But it is always so much more. He also has a great message and a big heart for youth.

I first met Tom at Big Ticket and as amazed at how down to earth and personal he was. Tom is a gifted illusionist but a even better speaker. We booked him to come to our church in Sault Sye Marie Ontario for a performance and were so happy with the event. I hope Tom will be back at Big Ticket in Gaylord Mi this year!!!
