Alaska's finest sleight of hand magician, Matthew takes over 20 years experience and uses it to dazzle audiences. Matthew's Brand of magic is perfect for restaurants, banquets, corporate events, weddings and private parties. Matthew is also a master of Contact Juggling and has published a four volume video instructional series entitled,"The Visual Encyclopedia of Contact Jugging."
Matthew has worked for such companies as Jack White Realty, GCI, BP, PDC Engineering, and TGI Fridays.
Matthew is dedicated to making your next event a magically memorable experience.
I've seen Matthew perform several times, I've seen him work at a corporate party held in the Anchorage Musem and at a private Halloween party and in both events he didn't have or need a stage. He mingled with guests performing magic tricks as small groups would gather around to see his tricks.
He doesn't rely on flashy Vegas style tricks, smoke or flashy lights to amaze. Most of his magic is performed right in front of you, often in your own hands! Card tricks, coin magic, everything done slowly and in plain sight!
Matthew is also does a routine with crystal balls, while not "technicaly" magic, it looks absolutly amazing as he manipulates the balls into patterns that seem to defy gravity. There isn't anybody who I've ever seen that does anything even close to it.
Funny without being crass, and amazing without the sequins. I highly reccomend him.

Matthew performs magic right before your eyes, often making the magic happen in your very hands. He takes ordinary objects, cards, coins, ropes, rubberbands, money etc. and creates close-up illusions that will blow your mind. Matt takes the show to your guests, giving live personable entertainment where he interacts with the guests as he performs his magic. Matt's magic is best suited for Restaraunts and banquets (working from table to table) and for corporate events and large parties where Matt can stroll through the crowd, entertaining as he goes, making sure that everyone has the opportunity to be entertained. Because Matt needs little space in which to perform his magic is also ideal for smaller parties.
Matthew is also an expert in Contact Jugging (a form of juggling featured in the classic Jim Henson movie, "Labyrinth") Matt has the ability to manipulate from one up to ten balls at a time in a way that makes almost appear to be floating. In contact jugging the balls are not tossed, but instead are rolled across the hands and arms in a graceful way that appears to defy gravity. Matthew will perform his contact jugging routine upon request. It is a style of jugging that can be enjoyed close up but is also fit for the stage.
Because of the style of magic Matthew specializes in, there is no need for special lighting or staging. If working for large audiences Matthew only needs a microphone to be heard (wireless headset is preferred so Matthew is free to use his hands as he talks) Other than that all Matthew needs is an audience and the show can begin!
Matthew has multiple 5-10 minute sets that he has prepared for performing in venues like restaraunts and banquets and in strolling situations. Each set consists of 3-5 tricks. Matthew alternates between these sets as he goes about from table to table so everyone has a unique experience, and for restaraunts this means that Matthew always has new material to show to the returning patrons.
Matthew has a 45 minute stand up show that involves classics of magic like the linking rings, the cups and balls, and impossible acts with ropes and cards, finishing with a short 7 minute contact juggling routine.
Matthew's contact jugging routine involves starting with a single ball, rolling it on and over his hands and arms in a way that makes it look as if the ball is floating. Then Matthew adds a second, then a third then works his way up one at a time to eight balls at a time, spinning in his hands. Then the balls are one at a time dropped out of the pattern until Matthew is left again with a single ball. This is a graceful routine that truly looks like magic.
