Husband and wife duo Andrew and Erin Martin have been making music together ever since they met at Boston’s prestigious Berklee College of Music, and in over a decade, they have played hundreds of gigs together. The duo features female and male vocals, as well as (depending on your needs) acoustic guitars, piano, or bass.
Unlike duos and trios that may only provide you with instrumental jazz, the Martins specialize in elegant and sophisticated vocal songs spanning a range of musical styles from jazz standards to popular music. Whether you are looking for tasteful background music, or hoping to get your friends and family up and dancing, the Martin Acoustic Duo is a perfect fit.
This is an unusual review, because we booked The Martin Acoustic Duo for a surprise birthday party that we had to postpone due to statewide Covid-19 restrictions. Rather than cancelling, because I know how challenging these times are for all musicians, I decided to keep and confirm the booking, but have The Martin Acoustic Duo join us at a later date. There are two other reasons I did this: 1. if you view their videos and listen to their tracks, you'll see they are super talented! 2. In working with Andrew Martin to book this gig, he was so incredibly flexible and thoughtful, both in terms of meeting my requested date and in terms of song selection - he was even willing to allow us to come up and perform with them - I felt compelled to confirm this gig, and pay now for a future date. I know when we do reschedule our party, we are going to have a high calibre musical experience! Can't wait - and I'll write another review then!
We hired the Martin Acoustic Duo for our company holiday party. They were great to work with and did an exceptional job performing. I would highly recommend them for any event you may have. We will be sure to book them again in the future.
Price Range: $100/hour
Our huge repertoire and flexible stylistic range makes us an ideal group for weddings, parties, BBQ’s and any event that you want to make special with live music. Upon request we can also provide a full band for all or part of the night.
We look forward to hearing from you!!
