We are an all male rock band with three guitarists, a bassist and a drummer. We all sing. We have our own sound equipment, including microphones and a PA system. We do not have lighting equipment. We are experienced, personable, professional, and easy going. Our music is rock and pop covers and originals. We don't generally take requests at the gig, but we will consider them if they are made in advance.
We will need power and a place to park for easy load in/out.
The Mighty Silverbacks are Roy Doolittle, Alan Alpert, Rich Glenn, Chip Highfield, and Dave Karaus. Our name comes from our silver locks, which indicate wisdom, experience, and a lifetime of rockin' out. We come from different backgrounds - Alan had a career in rock, blues and GB bands in NYC, Dave toured all over in a number of country bands, Rich and Chip were in some of Boston's seminal rock bands, and Roy was a composer and producer playing and recording in studios all over Boston and New England. All these different influences and a love of good music make our sound. We play a mix of covers and originals that we think are pretty great, and so do our audiences
For most gigs we just need one AC circuit. We have all the necessary electrical cables. We have all the audio equipment we need. We need to be able to park near the load in. We do not carry lighting equipment.

Our influences are wide ranging. We try to play the cover tunes that you forgot you liked - like "Wait" by The Beatles or "Lively Up Yourself" by Bob Marley. And hits like "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley or the Soft Cell version of "Tainted Love." Our originals have a little country influence, a little pop influence, some rock influence, and some reggae influence. But most of all we want to keep it fun, and entertaining, and up beat.
We require some type of lighting for club, stage, or outdoor night time performances.
Our PA system will work in a smaller club situation. We will need sound reinforcement for larger venues.
