The Mixtapes are a premier level 90's tribute band playing all your favorite radio hits from a GREAT decade of music! Each member of this five piece outfit sings, enabling them to convincingly recreate a HUGE range of music spanning The Cranberries, Nirvana, No Doubt, Beastie Boys, TLC, Radiohead, Spice Girls, Weezer, Rage Against the Machine, Britney Spears, Beck, and LOTS MORE...
The music of the 90's was great from the start, so The Mixtapes bring the songs (and the nostalgia) to life faithfully. This is a high energy stage show--you won't be able to help but dance and sing along!
We got so lucky and had Mixtapes play our July 4th wedding at Table Rock Lake. We were originally suppose to get married on vacation but this was all cancelled due to Covid. When we decided to have our wedding somewhat locally we knew we wanted the Mixtapes to play and lucky for us their July 4th event was cancelled. They put on a great show for us and did all the songs we wanted to hear! If you were born in the 80's you will enjoy this bands talent!
If you are thinking about hiring for a wedding or special event- do it.
If you are thinking about going to a show- do it.
Thank you for performing at the Regatta tie up this weekend at Table Rock Lake. We had so much fun and it was obvious everyone else did too. You played such a variety of music and I loved every song. You all are a wonderful group of young people. So happy to have met you! Can't wait to see you again soon.
We had the Mixtapes play at our wedding reception last month. I cannot give them enough praise for their performance at my wedding reception. It felt like an actual concert at an amphitheater with the sound and lighting (our wedding was in a ballroom at a hotel). They were So professional and a pleasure to work with and every song they played, we Loved. We spent the entire night dancing. We received so many compliments by our guests about how great the band was. We are huge 90’s music fans and even our wedding guests that have different musical tastes than we do danced the entire length of our reception (I have never seen so many people dancing at a wedding--I’ll always remember the image of my grandpa moshing to Smells like Teen Spirit). I can’t say enough wonderful things about this band and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a band to play at any event. You guys are amazing! Thank you so much for making our wedding so terrific. We hope to see you again! - Liz and John Sneegas
The girl on the drums is fire! Not only that, her vocals are WOW! She should be the lead singer without a doubt!!!! very entertaining and great music!
Saw this band at the Rockwall "concert on the lake" ❤️
Omg ! While in Osage Beach for a family reunion, I accidentally ran into a band member and got invited to the place they were playing later that night. Wow ! What a fun night. Absolutely freaking awesome performance. Only sad thing is im from Tulsa and I don't know when I'll ever get to see them again :(
We originally hired a DJ and then changed our minds; we couldn't have been happier. Johnny with The Mixtapes was professional and very responsive from Day One. All of our favorite songs were played, the band was professional and courteous, and they just put on an awesome show. Hiring them to play at our wedding reception was the one of the best wedding decisions we made and I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone planning an event that you want to ROCK!
I contacted the mixtapes
Through gig salad as it had always been my dream to have them at our small wedding reception. They were honestly our easiest vendor to work with. Johnny was responsive and reasonable and completely endearing. We were able to help select songs from their set list (within reason) and were beyond happy with their set. Our friends were happily surprised and had so much fun dancing and singing along with the band. All members were a delight to our guests and incredibly pleasant and polite. They were certainly the best decision that we made for our most memorable day
