The Momma Drama

The Momma Drama offers a one of a kind experience for your event or fundraiser. We create the environment of a fun playdate for moms and those who love them. (Men love this show, too!) We set up "The Playroom" wherever you want, in any space. We have played living rooms to grand theaters. We are MAgicians at creating a comfy and chic momma vibe. We offer add-on options like flowers and music. We provide munchies...empanadas and chocolate...and each guest gets an eco-friendly sippy cup...filled with wine! There are massage chairs for mini massages, that help add to the momma pampering vibe. There's an arts and craft table, where guests can make their own creations. The best part is that The Mommas put on our hilarious and heartfelt show about motherhood: Stretchmarks!
This is a total crowd pleaser, written by mommas for mommas. A full length original play, It is an aMAzing, highly entertaining show. Audiences are left with a feeling of happy connection, from so many deep MOMents and the most laughter they have had in years.
We are also available for post show Q&A with the actors and to facilitate conversation circles.

The Momma Drama is a MOMentous theatrical arts organization that seeks to empower and entertain mothers. We produce and perform the hilarious and heartfelt play, Stretchmarks! Written by mommas for mommas, it is about the MAgical MAyhem journey that is motherhood. We produce and perform the play as an experience...a fun night out for mommas and those who love them. The playdate includes music, munchies, massages, and sippy cups filled with wine. The theme of the show is rebirth & transformation, the stretching and growing of not only your skin, but your heart. The main message is that we need connection and care with ourselves and each other in order to have MOMentum.

The production history goes back to 2003, where we played The Marsh, The Phoenix and the Exit theaters to sold out crowds in San Francisco. We have continued performing over the years to audiences in Maryland, New York, Calistoga CA, and The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. Currently, we are doing monthly shows in San Francisco and Los Angeles, calling it a MOMentous Playdate For Mommas. We have plans for a show in NYC by the end of 2023.

We also believe in giving back, by supporting causes that focus on women and mothers. We have worked with (link hidden) and (link hidden), and local organizations that help young moms like The Homeless Prenatal Program in San Francisco and The Alliance of Moms in Los Angeles. We have given tickets to those in need, offered portions of our proceeds and donated eco-friendly sippy cups as our way of helping all mommas to thrive.

The Momma Drama has delighted and touched the hearts of so many, and we always have glowing reviews. It is both entertaining and empowering, and is perfect as a centerpiece for any event that celebrates the power of women and mothers. It is not only like seeing a Broadway show, but can be a healing and nurturing hub for mothers seeking community and connection. Our goal is to offer support to new mommas, nostalgia to grand mommas, and enjoyment to all who have a momma.
