I have seen this amazing band twice now. If you get a chance I would highly recommend checking them out. Not only is the band tight and they play the music of Steely Dan flawlessly but watching the musicians who recorded some of the bands most famous songs playing with each other and with talented but not so famous band members is a treat to watch. They seem to be having as much fun as the audience. The vocals sound great and the back up singers really add some punch to the songs making that quintessential Steely Dan sound. Go see this band if you can!!!!
I felt so fortunate to have been able to experience this sold out concert with musicians that are both former and current Steely Dan members. The hall was full of energy and people rocking, clapping and tapping their feet to the beats. I grew up listening to Steely Dan and I must say that Steely Jazz sounds so close to their music. I hope to be able to experience more Steely Jazz concerts. They sound so great in person!
Having seen Steely Dan a number of times we didn’t necessarily expect much from a cover band called Steely Jazz. We knew that the band members were amazing musicians in their own right and that some had even played with Steely Dan, so we went to The Music Box expecting a good, but maybe not great show. To say that they exceeded our expectations is a major understatement. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and left the Music Box with sore throats from singing along and sore legs from dancing all night. This is a must see band!

… you will love Steely Jam! The energy, the harmonies, their obvious passion for performing…. It’s a Must See Tribute!

Hi Joni, thanks for posting your feedback and enjoying our show!
The Band name is actually "STEELY JAZZ". Name says "Jazz" but we play like the original recordings with a full band.
Hope to see you at the next shows!
It doesn’t get any closer to Steely Dan than this. Drove from LA to San Diego just for this and so worth it. We were lucky enough to see Tom Scott, Jeff “Skunk” Baxter, Drew Zingg and Keith Carlock join that night, and the whole band just blew us away. Their sound is incredibly polished and took us back to those days of Reelin’ in the Years, and all the original songs. You can’t help but dance and sing along. They left us wanting more and cannot wait to see them again!

Thanks for coming, glad you guys enjoyed it!
I saw this incredible band at the music box and they were totally awesome. The musicianship of these guys is off the charts fantastic and the way they interact and play with each other was so cool. Amazing guitar, drummer and the horn section was rockin. Super fun to dance around and enjoy the music. I will definitely go and see these guys again. Well worth the time and effort.

Thanks for your excellent honest review. Hope you come again to our future shows!
Steely Jazz puts on a top notch show every time and consistently gets former Steely Dan session players to join them including Tom Scott, Jeff “Skunk” Baxter, Drew Zingg, Mike Stern, Keith Carlock and more. It’s literally one step away from the real thing! Cant wait for their next show!
