We encourage requests to ensure your patrons are hearing what they want to hear. We incorporate multiple genres of music in our performances: Classic “Roots” Blues, Classic Rock, Rhythm & Blues, and even Classic Country to ensure that your crowd is truly entertained. We’ve even been known to plays “Standards” like “Somewhere over the Rainbow” if someone wants a nostalgic trip back to those good old days.
We’ll even through in a few “corny” jokes to keep them laughing.
Our pride in performance and entertainment makes TNB a combo worth a critical listen.
The New Brothers is the next natural evolution of the careers of three musicians that came together in many different bands and groups to form a new flexible and very fun combination of talents and musical styles. We have been working together for a couple of years in different groups like Kentucky North and the Natural Silver Project, along with several local jam bands to form The New Brothers. Lewis Ray and Reggie joined TNB several months ago and added a new dimension to the combo's style and musical scope.
We all continue to work in other projects, but so far this is the most fun. These other projects provide growth opportunities but this new project has the most potential...
Since we are a trio we come from very different backgrounds and from three different parts of the country. Lewis Ray is an East Coaster that cut is teeth in Rock & Roll perfecting his craft in Los Angeles in the Punk Rock world. He toured with is band “The Zippers” and recorded several albums during his career. Lewis Ray conducts slide guitar workshops in the Greater Phoenix area on a regular basis.
Reggie comes from California’s Inland Empire – Chino to be precise. He also toured with several national acts and has several recording in his portfolio. He style is more in the Jazz and Rock genres which brings an added dimension to the trio. Reggie teaches various styles of guitar at a local music store in Phoenix. He also travels to conduct national workshops teaching Blues Guitar: from basic to advanced.
Charlie is a product of the Chicago Blues scene with influences from Bluegrass through Big Band Jazz. He toured with acts the performed Rhythm & Blues, Blues, and Rock all over the Midwest. He is a long time resident of Phoenix, over 40 years, and has sampled all that the music scene here has to offer from Hard Core Country, through modern Rock, but The Blues is his passion.
130 combined years is a long time in entertainment. We bring all of this and more to our performances. This trio is much greater than the sum of the parts.
There is detailed information on our website. Just Google "The New Brothers" and you'll find out more about how we can help you.
A trio needs very little to effectively entertain. We work with a great sounding portable PA and some basic lighting. We'll work with what ever is available in your venue or bring what ever we need to satisfy your needs. We specialize in small to medium sized venues but can provide systems to cover an entire auditorium as needed.
