Talk about a perfect wedding! The Niche were amazing at cocktail hour & reception. Great saxophonist, great singers, great band that had the entire room dancing!!! Excellent! My husband and I highly recommend this group. We received so many compliments from our guests throughout and after the wedding!

We had a professional event, the sax and keyboard duo did a fenomenal job entertaining our guests. Great music, amazing talents and professional presentation.

My wife and I had the pleasure of having The Niche be our wedding band. From start to finish, it was an overall great experience. There was easy and open communication between us and the group from the beginning right up until the wedding. They scheduled time to talk with us whenever we had a question or concern. At our wedding, they were incredible. They had everyone on the dancefloor the whole night. Our friends and family can't stop talking about it.

From the ceremony to the reception, the music was on point!!! And very very accomodating!! Everybody really enjoyed the music and the energy was unreal!!!! Would recommend them to other couples!!!

Since we first talked with John and Mel from The Niche, we knew we would have a fantastic experience. John and Mel's attention to detail, organization skills, and patience made my wife, and I feel calm through the wedding planning part of the event.

Honestly, sometimes you work with amazing people during the pre-production phase of an event but not so much during the actual event. This was not the case with The Niche. To say that we - and all of our guests - were blown away is the understatement of the year.

The Niche is, hands down, one of the best wedding bands we've ever had the pleasure of listening/dancing to - and we've been to many weddings these past two years. Every guest we've talked to mentions the music as being one of the highlights of our wedding. John, Mel, the DJ - everyone in the band - were professional, talented, patient, kind, and had terrific performances. They did a fantastic job mixing all of our favorite genres of music, and everyone was either singing along or dancing to their songs.

Please do yourself an immense favor and stop looking for options. The Niche is the band you need to hire.

I booked them for a 4th of July party. They were a huge hit with all age groups 13-86. Very easy to work with. Punctual, professional, and highly skilled singers and musicians. I will definitely book again. I have had many bands do this annual party, this is the only band that literally satisfied EVERYONE.

A month from my wedding has passed and I still have people calling me, texting me, and emailing me trying to get the name of the band that played at my wedding: The Niche band was absolutely incredible!!

Communication: John was supremely organized, responsible and easy to communicate with. He is on top of his emails and almost always immediately available via phone. He knows the flow of weddings so well he has a systematic and extremely effective way to gather all of the information he needs!
Quality of Music: Wow!! Sometimes I wasn’t sure if I was at a wedding or at a concert in Madison Square Garden. The Niche delivers an incredible sound. They are very versatile, able to cover anything from Frank Sinatra to Justin Bieber. My wedding guests ranged in age from 8 year old children, to a collection of you 20-30 somethings to my 90 year old grandparents. Every single person got up and danced at the wedding. My grandmother in a wheelchair who could not dance asked to be wheeled out to the floor to clap along to the amazing sound of the Niche.
I would 100% recommend this band to anyone who can book them. I am so proud that they played at our wedding. They were so easy to work with and delivered a sound and energy unparalleled by any I’ve ever experienced at a wedding. Thank you The Niche for making my day so special!

John and Mel were an amazing duo for our dinner party. They were so good and had everyone swinging all night. I can’t praise them more highly! I would hire them again and again!

I hired Mel to surprise my husband with a sax dinner set at our wedding and he also just so happened to be hired by the venue as well for the ceremony! Mel was great and my guests raved about his performance! Thanks so much Mel! Would definitely recommend booking him!

Even though they weren’t available to do my event they pointed me in the right direction and helped me find the best services for my event and where extremely helpful throughout the whole process without there help wouldn’t have been able to find an amazing singer and make my dreams a reality

Mel & John played for my moms 75th birthday party and we could t be more happy with their performance! They were professional, came along with a wonderful sound system and have a wonderful group dynamic. They were also very accommodating to all our song requests with both old and new music. the group was on time and very professional and started on time even with our heating not keeping them warm enough .but they prevailed and gave us wonderful music and we would hire them again .thanks for a great night even the cold couldn't keep you from doing a great job

Mel did a great job at my party! He was able to improvise when he had to and even took a big risk by lending his sax to a few guest for a photo opp and participating in our photos. He was a great sport. Thanks Niche and Mel!

We could not believe our luck finding The Niche, which delivered 100% for our party. All of our guests were thrilled, remarking all night about the quality of the band and how they engaged with all the guests. Our corporate event consisted of senior officers all the way down to our younger staff, all of whom had a great time. Live music is always a hit, but the Niche became part of the event itself with their extremely talented and personable band members. The collective talent of the band was evident from the first song until the evening wrapped up. We will be hiring the Niche again next year!

The Niche played at a family event and they were awesome!!! Band members were professional, on time, and really knew how to gage the crowd! Music selections were great and they kept the party going!

I have had the privilege of meeting "The Niche Band" back when they referred to themselves as "Shawn, John, & Mel" ( I kind of miss that name ) I have worked with them professionally for over 6 years as a hospitality F&B Manager, which has been my career for almost 15 years. They came in modest, but they have no reason to be, as they are an EXCELLENT group with incredible talent & professionalism. I have managed both small private run restaurants with weekly entertainment, as well as high end magnificent rooftop hotels on the New York waterfront (truly spectacular). They were really a perfect fit for both. The small private operated restaurant had an older clientele who expected more mellow dinner music (the Classics if you will), and the Rooftop was a trendy, sassy, sexy clientele who wanted exactly that type of music. "The Niche Band " never disappointed in terms of performance, promptness, professionalism, & especially attitude. I look forward to working with them in my new position running a country club. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Working in this business you meet many personalities in the musician department, & they were always a true pleasure to work with. One of my favorites! I HIGHLY recommend them and can promise you will not be disappointed!
