Owner Gerald Edward is a seasoned guitarist and vocalist living in NYC and has performed at over 500 weddings throughout his career. Gerald and the Plus Ones are able to perform music spanning many eras and genres. With 15 years of experience, you can trust us to help find the right songs and styles for your event.

Hiring Gerald for our wedding was an easy decision when we heard his music. But we were not expecting someone with the level of professionalism and kindness that Gerald brought to the table. There are plenty of stressful parts to wedding planning, thanks to Gerald, planning the music was not one of those stressful parts. He took the guidance we provided and knocked it out of the park. During the wedding, I was approach by multiple impressed guests to get more details on who was playing and how we found someone so stellar. The music was a regular topic of conversation throughout the wedding. My wife and I were proud to have Gerald there.

We hosted a cocktail & buffet dinner party for 26 on our deck attached to our small home. I was a bit worried that the space would be too small, but Gerald had the perfect set up that was both cool & compact. His singing style created a positive vibe, his sound is amazing, and he played all the fun Americana and Classic Rock songs that everyone knows and loves. He is also sociable and fit right in with my guests - they were happy to meet him and learn about his musical life! Everyone was happy to either chill and listen while he played, sing along a bit, or talk while listening, and he was comfortable with all, including on-the-spot requests. We would use him again, every time, for a party big or small.

We just had Gerald of The Plus Ones NYC perform at my wife’s birthday event. Beautiful evening tented event under the stars made better by Gerald’s music. He is such a nice guy that shows through his performance…a solid four hours covering all our favorite music selections over the past decades…classic rock to pop to oldies..all expertly done. Great sounding vocals and music that everyone in attendance agreed was an amazing highlight of the night.
A no brainer here to have Gerald elevate your next event to a higher level. Would have been a boring night without him.

Gerald was great to work with and super accommodating throughout the whole process. He showed up early and got everything setup. Him and Steve played the perfect setlist for our party. What to Expect
We perform a very wide range of songs and styles (please check out the song list below).
We make sure that our PA sound is crystal clear. We will dial it in just right for the space; never too loud, and never inaudible.
We tailor the music to your preferences. It can be laid back or energetic, depending on your tastes and the natural flow of your event.
We are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Happy to show proof of vaccination upon request.

We offer a variety of musician combinations and will help you choose the right one for your celebration. Solo and duo musicians are the perfect choice for an outdoor ceremony in either Prospect Park, Brooklyn, or Central Park, Manhattan.

The Plus Ones have performed for all types of ceremonies and parties. We also provide acoustic music for proposals and for couples traveling to NYC to elope.
