The Real Doug Lane provides quality live music including original music and cover tunes across multiple eras and genres, especially country and classic rock. Given enough lead time, my gifted crew of musicians can cover almost ANY musical style for any event with professionalism, expertise, and precision.

The Real Doug Lane has performed for concerts, festivals, weddings, funerals, fundraisers, and parties of all shapes and sizes in Utah, Montana, Idaho, Colorado, Wyoming, and Texas since 2015. With a massive catalogue of cover songs and very memorable original songs, the TRDL band is adept at adjusting to the crowd to keep the party going!

In 2016, Doug's song “Faces” was selected by Operation Encore, an organization that brings together singer/songwriters from across the country who are part of the military and veteran communities. At his first solo gig, the owner linked his performance to another artist – another Doug Lane – and an offhand joke solidified his stage name: The Real Doug Lane. In 2020, Doug released his first album "Water From the Stone" and followed up in 2022 with "Pocket Full of Pills".

Doug was raised in Kingsville, Texas, in the shadow of King Ranch. His father was a Navy officer and his mother was amazing. He served four years in the Army and ended his contract honorably -- always thankful for the experience, and glad when it ended. Doug currently resides in Provo, Utah with his wife, their four children, Dodger the Boxer, and Oliver the cat.
