Full Sound System, Lights, and Music... Country Music with the Renegade Outlaw Style
The Renegade Jason Ray Welsh Is A Retired Army Combat Veteran who was injured in Iraq in 2008. He was in many different bands of various genres in the Midwest and traveled all around the country singing and performing with His Family Gospel Band the Heaven Bound Express growing up.
After being injured in Operation Iraqi Freedom in The Global War on Terrorism, Jason found Himself spiraling down to a life of active addiction when the prescriptions no longer worked, he sought relief elsewhere in the form of IV drugs and alcohol that lasted a 10 year long stretch.
After going through rehab and finding recovery in the form of His Music He picked back up His guitar and started writing once more. With his new-found love of Music once again he started performing where ever he could and bringing His message of hope and freedom in the form of song and public speaking. Now clean since April 2nd 2018 with no dips no slips no weekend trips no crack no smack no heart attack.
Jason recorded His debut album “Write the Wrongs” at Mission Control Recording Studios in Pawleys Island, South Carolina.
Jason has had multiple awards and nominations for such singles from the album as “Lies In You”, “In My Mind” and “Running Out Of Steam” for 2019 and 2020 “Single Of The Year” and 2021 Album of the Year for “Write The Wrongs” from the International Singer Songwriters Association. He was also awarded the “Male Artist of the Year” From Music Mafia Radio for 2019.
Here Lately Jason was Nominated for the Carolina Country Music Associations Songwriter of the year 2020 and is nominated again through the World Songwriters Awards, The International Singer Songwriters Association, The USA Songwriters Competition, and the Josie Awards for various different categories.
March 1st 2021 Jason Released His Brand New Single “The Long Way Home” Which was written By Debbie Cooper and Arranged By Jason Ray Welsh and Bryson Grove Available Where Ever Music Is Sold…
He is currently recording the brand new single “Let It Go” at Two Cats Recording Studios in Nashville, Tennessee with Award winning Producer Ben Travis.
When not performing, writing music or in the studio Jason is active in several music groups including being a representative for ISSA (The International Singer Songwriters Association) and hosting events for the local music scene in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina such as the ISSA Singer Songwriters Showcase held at The Jerk Shack in Surfside Beach, South Carolina.
