We like to call our music "Retro Rock". The Rockaways showcase the best in 80s and 90s Classic rock, Funk & Punk. Four solid musicians who can perform a plethora of styles showcasing four lead singers with tight harmonies. The Rockaways cover Pretenders, Blondie, Joan Jett, Beatles, The Smithereens, The Ramones, Weezer and many other great artists with groundbreaking songs.

As a band we decided to be slightly out of the box with our song selections and arrangements, and you can feel our personalities through our songs as its quite visable and it shows as you see us on stage having as good of a time as the audience. We aspire to get everyone tapping their feet, shaking their heads, stomping their feet, and breathing heavy from shakin your a** on the dance floor.
The Rockaways are four seasoned musical professionals in the South Florida area. Along with bringing their talent and showmanship to the gigs they also bring a high level of professionalism to the venue. The Rockaways are easy to work with on any level and can customize their song selection to fit YOUR OCCASION. They have clothing and gear to fit any situation and always ready to get the party rocking

Louis Echavarria (Drums & Vocals) - Music has always been apart of Louis' life and its not surprising as he comes from a long line of professional musicians who have always inspired him to play and most importantly have fun. Starting out in basements and garages in Rockaway Beach, NY to stages all over the world, Louie is still playing and rocking hard as ever with The Rockaways.
Patrick Fent (Bass & Vocals) – Patrick or Mr Fabulous hails from Kansas City, Kansas where he first picked up the bass at age 12. Patrick is the honorary creative director of the band, and has played in numerous Rock, Punk and Glam Rock bands in the Kansas area, and since relocating to Florida has been a member of Hat Trick and many local South Florida bands before bringing his talents and showmanship to The Rockaways.
Rick Freidlander (Lead Guitar & Vocals) – Rick or RB as he is frequently referred to comes from a family rich with music talent and is a classically trained guitarist who has been playing since he was a child. A Long Island native who grew up in South Florida, Rick has been a long time fixture on the South Florida music scene with bands such as Generator and Nobody’s Fault he now brings his extensive music knowledge and natural ability to The Rockaways.
Pearl Pop (Guitar & Vocals) - Pearl Pop emerged on the South Florida scene in the summer of 2011. She is a gifted singer, guitarist and songwriter. Originally from Washington DC, Pearl has played in many original bands. Since relocating to Florida Pearl has played her original music at venues all over South Florida. She has now joined forces with the Rockaways celebrating high-energy, retro rock music.
We have an excellent PA system as well as a Sound Tech with a larger system we hire for larger venues. We can also provide lighting if needed.
