If you come to our show, you will laugh. If you don't, there's no one who can help you.

Improvised music, comedy, scenes, the works. If you've seen "Whose Line is it Anyway" you have an idea of what kind of hilarious, energetic comedy that team improv can be.

The Society Comedy Troupe Tech Rider

BASIC Tech requirements for The Society:

4 mics (body mics or head mics that are wireless)
1 handheld mic (could be wireless or wired)
1 mic stand
2 - 4 monitors (one for piano the others for the front of stage)
Grand Piano or nice keyboard
A mic or a line for the piano/keyboard
CD player hooked into the sound system
Experienced sound and lighting engineers
Direct Input Box for a guitar

- Lighting: Basic stage lighting--
The ability to light the entire stage as well as only parts of the stage.
A Spot light would be good but not absolutely required if they have the ability to light only parts of the stage.
Specials.
Colors for mood lighting.

We need a lighting tech to play along with us during the musical (the second half of the show). When the mood strikes them, they can bring up the blues or the reds to enhance what the improvisers are doing on stage. There may be a song where one performer is alone on stage. A special would be great for this. If we could have a special on stage right, stage left and center, we can find those. It'll be fun to experiment together and create together. As long as the tech has fun and enhances the performance, it will be a huge success.
