The Sophisticados are comprised of two versatile guitarists, Fernando DaRosa and Ted Kassiotis; experienced, professional musicians from very diverse backgrounds, but sharing a common passion for music and performing. The Sophisticados’ latin-infused acoustic music ranges from Bossa Nova, Samba and Flamenco, covering many popular songs in their unique Sophisticados style. This dynamic musicianship helps create the perfect ambiance for wedding ceremonies, reception cocktail hours, dinners, and any type of event or establishment

About
Fernando was born in Brazil, moved to the USA when he was 14 and after living and performing in LA for several years, moved to San Diego in 1998. Ted was born and raised just north of Boston, moving to San Diego in 1995. They became friends in 2000 and quickly developed a musical kinship, and soon began performing in various rock and acoustic bands together. In 2008, they decided to develop The Sophisticados as it felt like the right time and the right fit for them musically, and a perfect match for the growing, vibrant San Diego cosmopolitan, wine & music scene.
