The Southern Piper

Mr. J. B. Griffith played for my mom's 80th Birthday party. He arrived early in full regalia, was well-prepared and played all of my mom's favorite songs-including many traditional tunes as well as the theme from Outlander. He is an incredible piper and really rattled the hall rafters at the venue. My mom was overwhelmed with tears of joy. Mr. J. B. is a fine man and very knowledgeable about Scotland and Ireland. We definitely plan to book him for our next celebration. Thank you Mr. J. B. for making my mom's birthday extra special !!

He was on time, agreeable, and great! He played his agreed songs then respectfully sat through my mom’s memorial service and seeing how much it meant to us then took it upon himself to play more in her honor. I was floored by his kindness. My mom heard that across the heavens and smiled, I know. Thank you for touching our hearts and being part of remembering my precious mother❤️ I’ll never forget it

John was very friendly, and patient with us starting behind schedule. John played Amazing Grace and as he played the music was so beautiful. John is very professional and my guess loved him.

John did a magnificent job. We hosted a rehearsal dinner for our son and future daughter in-law at the Side by Side in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. We wanted his entrance to be a surprise so we had to stage him outside of the room. He entered in right on queue and played beautifully. He really added a wonderful touch to the event. We could not have asked for more. He was fantastic!!!

JB was such a nice guy and wonderful Piper. He arrived right on time, and we snuck him in the back since he was a surprise for my mom's 90th birthday party. He was a real showstopper when he marched in. The crowd loved him, and Mom thought it was the best part of the day. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a bagpiper

The Southern Piper arrived an hour early in his dress attire and was present in case we needed him earlier than scheduled. He was very professional and a joy to work with. He was flexible to our needs, especially since much of our event depended on the weather. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a bagpiper for their event!

It rained on my wedding day but it was still perfect! Jb played very well and was able to adapt quickly despite the weather. The guests raved about the music and passers by came to see what it was all about. 5 stars!

He was amazing ... He played a beautiful rendition of “Amazing Grace” at the end of the graveside service for my husband... I know without a doubt that my husband loved it ... thank you so very much for such a sacred playing... so many of the guests commented on how amazing it was... just was wonderful... i would recommend you highly to others... he was in full Irish-Scottish kilt .... so memorable forever ...

JB arrived ahead of the specified time in full regalia and immediately began to play. He continued until the service ended, and his performance was exactly what we had requested. Highly recommend him.

My husband's one request when we were planning our wedding was to have a bagpiper play Highland Cathedral as I walked down the aisle. JB did a phenomenal job, playing the processional and recessional. Everyone at our reception raved about the pipes, since we had kept it a surprise people were blown away when the pipes began. I am pretty sure there was not a dry eye shortly after he began. JB was wonderful to work with, and was such a special part of our day. I cannot give him enough praise, he is wonderful!

JB is truly a professional. He is a great bagpiper and goes beyond what he is supposed to do. Being we were out of state before my daughters wedding, he was there to coordinate the music for the wedding with the wedding planner, and also made sure to have a rehearsal with the piano player who would accompany him on the pipes.
He was a great addition to the ceremony and day. You'll be very pleased with his services.
