These gentlemen surprised my mum for her 80th birthday with a trio of songs. She and the entire dining room were enchanted and delighted with their sweet harmonies. I would highly recommend them for your next special event.

I had a great experience booking with Jeremy, he made the process easy and they were very accommodating - able to do the telegram even though I contacted only a week before and was able to do a special request as they thankfully had the arrangement for the song already. The group arrived on time and were great. So very talented and everyone who saw them perform only had great things to say. A really wonderful experience and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a barbershop quartet!

The Squares surprised me at school for my birthday and it was fantastic!
I learned after the fact that my friend had to change plans on them multiple times (because I didn't know about the surprise and I kept changing my mind about lunch haha) and apparently they were super flexible and responsive in communicating with my friend, which I really appreciate. They sounded absolutely great and they performed a song that means a lot to my partner and I so I was tearing up by the end.
I would recommend these guys to anyone; they sound great, their outfits are super cute, and they're super professional.
I wanted to have a surprise singing telegram for my friend, and the squares delivered!
I don't live in Vancouver, but the squares were able to coordinate with my friend's workplace to arrange a time for the telegram. They were also able to arrange a custom song for my friend!

The Barbershop Quartet added just the right touch of sentimentality to my husband's retirement party. They were able to accommodate my requests at short notice, which I so appreciated. The event was held in a home whereby their harmonious voices were able to cascade upon and envelop all in attendance. My husband was extremely touched and all four generations in the audience declared they loved it! (My husband said it would have been nice to hear one more song! I'm wondering if perhaps have a token of your appearance such as a card would help complete the memory. One or two more personalized lyrics would be fun too!) We would give a 4.5 star rating if we could. Regardless, we loved it, we highly recommend the Barbershop Quartet for their beautiful singing, and will be booking them again. I personally think they ought to charge more! :)

The Squares Barbershop Quartet went over well .. the surprise was great and the communication between myself, the group, and the contact person I gave, was perfect. The only thing is, the two songs I requested did not happen .. the first song was the one picked, but they changed the second song. The outcome of the surprise was good .. just wish they would have said they weren't doing Sweet Caroline .. I could have picked something else.

Initially formed in 2011 as a quartet, our founding vision was to develop A-level singing technique while still paying homage to the core rudiments of the classic quartet style. As membership grew, the quartet developed into a Quartet Singing Association - a place where congenial men of good character could hone the craft of four-part harmony. Before long, The Squares chorus was born and continues to this day as part of the Southwest British Columbia chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS). The Squares chorus continue to compete in official BHS contests, scoring in our Division’s top 3 every year. The Squares chorus proudly represented our district at the BHS International Convention in 2018.
As a Chapter, it is our mission to delight listeners young and old by bringing barbershop to a broader audience. We take every opportunity to sing for and with our community via charity shows, tag nights, caroling and street busking. Our reputation is well established as the ‘last ones standing’ at all-night tag parties. We also strive for musical excellence and an ‘all carrot/no stick’ approach to rehearsing in order to deliver the stories that connect with our audience. And we believe that the best chorus sound has it roots in quartet singing.

We like to arrive 20 minutes early to warm up. A designated and/or private space to warm up is not required but is always appreciated.
For larger venues, we recommend either 4 handheld microphones or one central, omni-directional microphone.
