THE STREET FAMILY MUSIC MINISTRY The Street Family is a family dedicated to the service of The Lord! This family dates back to at least the 1920’s. The late Jim Street was a traveling evangelist. Jim would ride on horseback and go anywhere God sent him. Jim would sing and preach and from what I understand he made a difference in folk’s life, of course by the power of THE HOLY GHOST! Jim and his wife had several children but there was one named Harvey Street who grew up and received the call to preach! Harvey later married a Christian woman by the name of Pauline. They later married and they too traveled where ever God would send them. Harvey with the help of God he built a church that still stands today named Morningstar Lake Baptist Church. Harvey and Pauline too had several children but there was one named after his grandfather Jim Street. Jim is a musician and singer as well and always taught us the values of morals and God! He and his wife Edith Street gave birth to today’s bass player for The Street Family, Mike Street he sings and plays bass for The Lord with the best, Mike always has a smile on his face! I Kevin Street is the son of Mike Street. I lived a terrible life in sin before being born again in late 2000. I have made some bad choices in life but I believe and know ALL things work together for good to those who LOVE GOD and are called according to HIS purpose! I am married to Jennifer Marie Hunt! She is the daughter of the late Brenda Tallent Hunt. Her mother passed away in a fatal car accident on her way to church on December 30th 2012. Jennifer’s mother loved Jesus and taught Jennifer at an early age to love The Lord! We know Brenda is in Heaven because of the notes we found in her Bible. Jennifer started in her family band The Tallent Family playing Bluegrass Gospel at the age of 9. The Tallent Family loves The Lord and always served Him for decades. So as you can see The Street Family has a great heritage, however The Street Family follows The Holy Ghost this day! The Street Family strives to see people Born Again and saints encouraged. If you want a singing group that does not care whether anyone down here knows who we are or not, but prays that everyone sees JESUS in us! Thank you for reading my article! In this day it’s time to get back to our first love and know JESUS IS COMING SOON!!! And it’s time to spread the good news of salvation through the precious blood of JESUS CHRIST!!! Our Home Church Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church in Spindale NC. Jennifer Street started at age 8 playing piano and autoharp with her peepaw Pete in a bluegrass gospel band. Since that time she has continued to be a part of that group and still performs in her family band The Tallent Family ((link hidden)) She now sings lead on most all songs of this duet. She also plays piano. She is the mother of three children, Ashley, Trevor, and Toby. She is the step mother to Luke. She loves The Lord with all her heart, and wants to share with everyone that ALL things work together for good to those who love God and who are called according to His (link hidden)vin got a later start at age 15, singing and playing guitar for the Dove award nominees The Far City Boys. He was the lead singer for The Far City Boys from 1995 until November 2011 when The Far City Boys decided it was time to move on for everyone. Kevin,with the help of Mike Upright, released a Solo Country Gospel CD called God's Still Been Good in 2011. You can purchase that cd at (link hidden). Kevin will also be the first to tell you he is not perfect but GOD IS! His heart is for all the folks that feel hopeless within themselves, to know GOD LOVES THEM! Kevin sings lead and harmony in this duet. Kevin got saved in late 2000 after a long hard road living for the devil. Kevin says God came and got him out of a (MESS). Kevin says he has not always made the right choices in life and is not what he needs to be, but GOD is molding and making him everyday.
