The Superlatones, are native to South Louisiana with the mission of sharing the message of God’s love and salvation in song. The band has taken the nostalgic Rock-N-Roll style of the 1950’s along with the vintage sounds of Louisiana Swamp Pop. When they mix in good ole Southern Gospel with new Swamp Pop gospel songs, the result is an exciting new genre of Christian music called Swamapabilly Gospel Music. Yes, the Superlatones are the pioneers of Swampabilly Gospel Music, who want to make a joyful noise unto the Lord, with the purpose to bring glory and honor to God.

These request by The Superlatones (band/artist) are to ensures proper working conditions essential to performance and to make clear production requirement for both band/artist staff and venue staff in order that event will flow smoothly in order to produce the best sound quality, audience experience and satisfaction possible. The band, staff and crew would like to THANK YOU in advance for providing the following details to help make the event a success. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The following sound specification is detailed, but fairly simple. The emphasis throughout is on quality. The Superlatones attempt at all performances to deliver a sound which has the highest quality possible, and band relies on these technical specifications to ensure that everything band needs to accomplish this is available.
1. In order to assure a quality concert, venue agrees to provide band/artist with the following:
A. A stage for performance that is in safe working condition and ensure all equipment and facilities are in good working order. The stage size must be a minimum of 12feet wide by 10 feet deep. The stage must be flat, smooth and stable. The venue will be in compliance with all statutory requirements (including adequate staging with protection from sun and bad weather) and will obtain all permits, consents and licenses necessary for the performance.
B. The stage to be set up as close to the audience as possible.
C. A professional lighting system suitable to adequately illuminate stage area.
D. The venue will provide safe and adequate power supplies operated by competent persons in accordance with all statutory requirements. (NO GENERATORS)
E. If The Superlatones are not providing 100% of sound production, the venue’s sound system and its components shall be in full working order, with no buzzes, hums, beeps, crackles, clicks or other extraneous noises, and will be free from radio interference and will be set up and ready at band load-in.
a) The system shall be capable of producing a clean, undistorted ‘A’ weighted SPL of 80-95db average, and a 105db peak. This is generally the SPL level that the ARTIST will perform at.
b) The system loudspeakers must be configured as a LEFT, RIGHT stereo pair; center clusters, balcony fills etc., are fine providing they are in addition to the main L&R speakers-any such additions should be independently controllable from the mix position.
c) THE MIX POSITION MUST BE LOCATED IN THE HOUSE. The position of the sound console is of utmost importance, and control rooms, booths, etc., are absolutely unacceptable for this purpose. Ideally, the console should be placed at the center of the L&R speakers, and halfway between front and rear of the house, forming an equilateral triangle, with the speaker enclosures and the mix position at the apexes, with line-of-sight between speakers and control position. While this will not always be possible, under no circumstances should the console be placed further left than the left speakers, or further right than the right speakers. The FX & control racks should be easily accessible from the console and should not be positioned under it. Sufficient illumination for desk and racks should be provided as should a stool or chair for operator/s.
d) Prior to band/artist load-in, system should be up and running, labeled with relevant channel numbers, compressors inserted and checked; line check should be completed. Cable runs should be as far as possible behind the musicians, or far downstage at the lip of the stage.
e) Band/artist will provide its own instruments, backline, and monitors and will provide Mackie DL1608 mixer and will need two (2) XLR channels on front of house (FOH) mixer. See the input list yellow highlighted area on page 3.
f) Band/artist may have their own FOH engineer. The Artist FOH engineer is to have free access to all parts of the sound system. Band/artist request that the two (2) XLR inputs be reserved for their exclusive use from the sound check to the end of show. If there are other performers on the bill, separate channels must be used.
2. The venue agrees to furnish a representative that is capable of make any decisions pertaining to the engagement from the time of arrival of the production equipment through time of departure. The representative must have knowledge of the stage set up with electrical specifications and sound specifications.
3. The venue will provide the band/artist and personnel with reasonable access to the venue before the performance with load in, set up, sound check and load out after the performance. It is also requested that the venue provide secure onsite parking, well-lit parking for band/artist and personnel including up to 3 vehicles and one vehicle towing a 16-foot trailer in close proximity to the venue’s loading dock area and be available for the duration of the event from load-in to load-out. Production set up schedule is as follows.
A. Load-in and set up takes approximately 1 hour
B. Sound check takes approximately 1 hour
C. Approximately 1 hour to show time after sound check is complete.
D. Take down and load-out is approximately 1 hour after signing of CD’s and autographs at merchandise table.
When above call times are not available, please notify band/artist management in advance or as soon as a situation arises. Thank you in advance.
4. The venue ensures at all times that the stage, back stage and mix position are off limits and secure at all times. The band/artist and their personnel is granted full and all access to these areas. The venue should limit to essential event staff and representatives granted access to these areas from time of load-in until load-out.
5. The band/artist shall have solo exclusive merchandising rights. An area of the lobby or other suitable place should be set aside for sales of band/artist merchandise. At least a 6-foot table and two chairs is required for this and to be provided by the venue or other accommodations mutually determined to be appropriate for merchandise sales. The band/artist will sign CD’s and autographs after the show (approximately 30-45 minutes under normal circumstances) and tear-down and load-out will not begin until after signing is complete.
ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION SPECIFICATIONS
1. Billing on all advertising and publicity must appear as follows:

2. The Superlatones to receive 100% billing on ALL publicity releases and paid advertisements, including without limitation: programs, flyers, signs, newspaper ads, marquees, tickets, radio spots, TV spots, etc.
3. The venue agrees to use only artwork, ad mats, photos and / or promotional materials provided or approved by band/artist in all advertisements. No product, service, or publication utilizing the name or likeness of The Superlatones may be produced, sold, or distributed without the prior written consent of The Superlatones.
4. The venue agrees not to commit artist to any personal appearances, interviews or other promotion or appearance without prior written consent from The Superlatones.
5. The venue shall not, and shall not permit any person to record, broadcast or digitally stream in any manner whatsoever, The Superlatones’ performance without prior express written consent from The Superlatones. The Superlatones shall have the right to record the performance and to use the recording as the band/artist sees fit. The venue shall have no interest or rights of any kind whatsoever in or to any such recordings of The Superlatones’ performance during this engagement
The Superlatones are the pioneers of Swampabilly Gospel Music. The influences that made Swampabilly are rock-n-roll artist such as Elvis, Churck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis and other similar artist. Artist influences on the Louisiana Swamp Pop scene are Fats Domino, Johnny Allen, Warren Storm, TK Hulin, Jivin Gene and others. On the Gospel and Southern Gospel side of things, artist such as Marty Stuart and Bill Gaither are just to name a few. All these genres are the gumbo pot all stirred together to for the genre of Swampabilly Gospel Music.
