The Tattered and Tied is an acoustic duo based in the greater Sacramento area in beautiful Northern California. The Duo consists of Nick Montgomery and Matt Defer. They share the duties of guitar, singing, songwriting, slide guitar, with a bit of harmonica and even a bass drum thrown in. With influences, such as The Grateful Dead, Johnny Cash, and Creedence Clearwater, they specialize in original music and tribute covers to many classics. The Universe is ready to take on The Tattered and Tied! Blues, Rock, and everything in between to feed your Soul, we hope you’ll come for the ride. Price Range: $200 and up
We typically offer 2-3 hour sets, with a few breaks. We base our song list off of the event that is planned, and are open for suggestions. If this is an outdoor event, we ask for some shade or coverage as well as ample power sources. We are happy to work with you to maximize the music and vibe of your event!
Just a couple of family guys, looking to live the dream, play music, and create art. They can't wait to play for you! Nick and Matt have known each other since birth, and have spent the last 30+ years learning the ways of the world. Having both played in bands since the 90's, they have finally settled in to a groove that only best friends that live and breath music can have.
