The True Klaus

I can offer to sit for photo sessions, hand out gifts if provided, read stories, talk/ listen to the children and/or adults, sing, etc...
On occasion, Mrs. Klaus can accompany me, but this needs to be requested up front.
Nicholas Klaus is also ordained in the state of Texas to perform wedding ceremonies.

Many years ago, I was asked to cover as Santa for an outdoor breakfast with Santa event in Waco TX. I quickly found a cheap Santa outfit, fake beard, and wig.
When I arrived and got set up, the line was long. Typically, the children would ask for expensive electronics while parents vigorously shook their heads. "I'll see what I can do" was always my response.
Throughout the time in the chair, I could not help but notice a little girl in the very back of the line. She was unable to contain her excitement as she shook and jumped up and down nervously with a smile with a smile from ear to ear. Finally, it was her turn.
"Santa!" she exclaimed as she ran from the line into my open arms. she hit me with such force that the chair I was in went backwards. Luckily, my wife, who had dressed like an elf caught me.
"I love you, Santa." she stated as she buried her face into that ugly fake beard.
"I love you too." a returned as I wiped the tears away.

That was it. That moment, now permanently cemented in my memory, was the purest representation of Christmas. She didn't care about the presents or any material possession. In fact, she wasn't even sure what to ask for. It was her time, and she wanted to see Santa. What she gave me was the greatest gift of all. The gift of love.
Because of that moment, I continued to do events which later would lead to professional opportunities.
There is always that one each year proceeding which leaves a memorable mark in time. The magic behind the smile, the twinkle in those eyes, and the love in their hearts make all the fuss and busyness of the season worth it. I live for those moments

Typically, Santa will need a place to sit and possibly a fan and some water if it is warm. Outdoor events must be out of the rain. An extra seat needs to be available when Mrs. Klaus accompanies Santa
