In the spring of 2011, Josh Smith (drums) and Aaron Fischer (vocals, bass) joined guitarist Thad Barnette to form the rock trio of The Undefeated. Seeking to combine edgy soul-searching lyrics with a mix of classic and modern rock, the band began exploring their music.
With solid reputations as local musicians in Northeast Ohio, they earned opportunities for shows quickly, and in just one year, their popular music propelled them from hometown gigs to the AG National Fine Arts Festival.
The Undefeated performed in Columbus, Ohio for the 2012 OYM Fine Arts Festival and was awarded Best of State. They traveled on to Louisville, Kentucky, for the National Fine Arts Festival, and were declared one of the top 3 upcoming bands in the country.
In October 2012, the Undefeated released their debut EP of four songs, marked by driving guitar and pounding drums, immediately gaining local radio attention. The band continues to write in anticipation of a full-length album.
