Uptown is unique among other Oldies groups in offering several different ways to incorporate our guys and girl into your next event. Below are some ideas on how to best incorporate those ways for your next affair.
You can hire the entire compliment of five singers and three band members to join with your guests and experience a night of nostaglia. This approach is best suited for large gatherings, concerts in churches and halls, and parties with a theme such as "Welcome Back" or "Going Back After Season" types of affairs. This would be best suited to large crowds attending your party.
Another way to incorporate Uptown Express in a smaller venue would be to have only our five singers with one keyboardist deliver your entertainment via a more compact package. This arrangement would still deliver a great night of entertainment, and is best suited for venues such as nightclubs or small banquet room parties.
Finally, if you truly want to travel back in time and experience Do Wop the way it was back in the 50s, here is a great idea. Have our singers come into your living room without any sound equipment at all and create the music that was originally done on the corners of many Brooklyn streets back in the day. This is a very intimate way to experience our music and have your guests return home thinking that they truly have gone back in time and experienced some of their favorite songs recreated by our experts. Oh, and by the way, if you think there won't be dancing, you will probably be surprised.

Another great way to have our wonderful singers perform would be to have them harken back to when Do Wop first started. Four or Five singers on a corner in Brooklyn, NY singing a capella right in your own living room or in a pool side lanaii with one accompaniest and hearing to true sound of the era.
Oh, and did we mention that we do all the latest line dances like the Electric Slide and Cupid Shuffle during our time spent with your guests.

They have many years of experience singing with other groups and "UPTOWN" itself has been performing for the last 35 years under its leader, Tom DeSantis. The playing musicians that back up the singers and drive the beat have played all different kinds of music over the years and they all love keeping the music LIVE on the "EXPRESS".
