Overview
We offer an authentic club / party experience by performing our show “old school” on vinyl records and turntables. Let your guests be privy to the lost art of DJ’ing, feel the analog warmth of the audio like it was meant to be heard! We can be hired to do period specific shows (IE: 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, 00’s) or you can have us sprinkle in the biggest hits of many decades. We also offer a modern LED light show that is sure to give your event the right “feel”. As for sound, we have a scalable sound system that can adjust from a small venue right up to the largest of ballrooms.

What to Expect
Our crew will arrive at least one hour prior to your event (longer based on the complexity of your show package) and setup the required equipment. Once the event starts we will provide non-stop music tailored to your liking plus the microphone work necessary to keep the event flowing properly. Whether the DJ accepts requests is entirely up to you – but keep in mind that DJ’ing on vinyl records is a very difficult art form, so it is best that requests are written down on a nearby clip board.
Depending on the type of show (club or private event) expectations can be substantially different. If we are performing in a club environment the music program is very aggressive. Our theory is to dance the crowd as hard and as long as possible, so that when they leave at the end of the night they walk away going “WOW, that was some party!”. This creates the buzz necessary to keep them coming back week after week. As for bar profits, don’t worry – if they are dancing they are sweating, and they will be drinking.
On the Private Party / Event side we like to provide heavy dancing (high points) and blend in a sufficient amount of easier material (low points) to create a well-rounded event. Not everyone that attends a private event likes fast dancing, so this give everyone an opportunity to enjoy the festivities. When it comes to either type of performance we are always happy to provide a show consisting of the music you request and the professionalism you deserve.
About
DJ Brett Brisbois has been entertaining crowds for over 40 years, both here in Florida and up north on Long Island. Brett began DJ’ing during the 70’s when a neighbor who needed to borrow an amplifier introduced him to the dance music world - and he became hooked! After spending years doing private parties, this “hobby” became a career when a local night club asked him to perform weekly in 1982. Since then he has gone on to play at thousands of private parties, spin at the hottest night clubs, and even produce weekly radio shows. He has been the opening act for national artists like The Commodores, Judy Torres, George Lamond, Amber, Reina, and many others.
In 2009 Brett relocated to Merritt Island, Florida to continue his journey. Currently he continues to work private events and occasional club spots, but recently he has reignited an interest in “vintage” DJ’ing by providing an authentic DJ show done strictly on Vinyl records.
Additional Booking Notes
Additional booking notes:
Our sound and lighting systems are scalable to a variety of event sizes. For a small event (under 50 guests) our typical sound equipment compliment is a 2-speaker system. Once the guest count reaches 100, a larger 4-speaker sound system (2 small bass bins, 2 full range speakers) is necessary. When playing at a large catering hall, club or festival the system becomes incrementally larger to accommodate the crowd / venue size.
When it comes to lighting, we have a variety of configurations using overhead truss or columns. The fixtures available range from inexpensive semi-intelligent effects to scanners and cutting edge moving heads.
When you speak to us about your event we can design the right sound and lighting to fit your needs / budget.
