The Whatabouts are a six piece band (plus sound man), featuring two female lead vocalists. Four of the six members sing so we feature lots of rich harmonies. Our lead guitarist is a shredder! We play classic rock, with songs from the 60s up to the 90s. Some of the bands we cover are: The Doobie Brothers, The Eagles, Billy Idol, Journey, Bon Jovi, The Beatles, Tom Petty, Blondie, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Fleetwood Mac, Steely Dan and many more fun artists! Our main mission is to get people out on the dance floor! If you give us enough time, we can learn some of your favorite songs for you! We promise to make your event successful!
I have been hosting an annual Halloween event on and off for 30 years (none during Covid). The Whatabouts made this years event the best one we have ever had. Thank you guys and gals. We asked them to play for us again next near. Looking forward to it.

The Whatabouts play music carefully picked out to make sure we get the crowd dancing! Every song was a big hit in its day and they are still crowd-pleasers today. Expect to hear hit songs from a wide variety of bands including The Doobie Brothers, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, Journey, Bon Jovi, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Tom Petty, Blondie, Billy Idol and many more. We strive to make your event memorable, successful and most of all, FUN!
The Whatabouts feature six musicians who all bring incredible talent to the band. Maile Frazier, our amazing female vocalist, is also a piano teacher with her own private studio. In the band she also sings background vocals, and plays keys, guitar and percussion. Erik Lewis plays lead guitar and boy can he shred! You will love his attention to detail as he plays iconic solos from all your favorite hits. David Collier is our second guitarist and he also sings lead. He also is a quite accomplished songwriter. You can find many of his songs on youtube under David Collier Music. Michael Bleau is our kick ass bass player and also sings. You will be amazed at his Billy Idol songs! Our drummer Rick Brownell has been playing drums for over 40 years so he REALLY knows his stuff and makes us sound so good! Finally, Anne Lewis plays keyboards/synths and is also one of our lead singers. She is a retired K-5 music teacher, private piano teacher and has been in touring bands in the 80s.
We will provide our own lighting and sound. We need a stage or flat surface to set up on (not grass) that is at least 12 feet wide and 8-10 feet deep. The Band requires a dedicated 15-amp outlet, but a 20-amp outlet is preferred if available. If the event is being held outdoors, we need to be under a canopy or cover so we won't get rained on.
