The Wildflowers – Official Bio

The Wildflowers are North America's premier touring tribute to Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. Formed in 2012, the band consists of seasoned musicians who are avid fans of Tom Petty's music and aim to deliver an authentic experience that captures the energy and sound of Petty's live performances.

Origins and Members

The band was conceived by bassist Darryell Stone, who realized the universal appeal of Tom Petty's music. He teamed up with guitarist and lead vocalist Jonathan Guthrie, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Petty. They recruited drummer Steve Lucas, multi-instrumentalist Glenn Freeman, and lead guitarist Curt Granger, all accomplished musicians with decades of experience in the local Birmingham, Alabama music scene.

We typically travel only with backline, with the venue providing full production (sound and lighting), however we sometimes offer the option of providing small production (for up to 100 people) and lighting when required. This does however increase our performance fee.
