When you book TheAnorexicGoldfish, expect a band that isn't shy at all! Though we do like to consider ourselves a serious group, we love to have fun at our gigs and make them as interesting as possible. We classify our selves as an alternative rock band, we like to get heavy with our music but no scream'o. We also like to go as light as we do heavy, meaning if your not into anything heavier than James Taylor, we have content for that as well. (Though I would not compare us to James Taylor's style.) We also take requests. If there is a specific song/ songs then please let us know what you wish to hear performed a decent amount of time prior to the gig (preferably three weeks, or more if possible) and we will let you know if the request is possible.

TheAnorexicGoldfish formed in 2012 as a group of friends with a an interest in music. We played mostly covers in our drummers bed room and really had no plans on taking it any further than that. Members came and went and one day it was just Nick Rye ( vocals/guitar) and Noah (percussion) Puryear. We began to grow bored with performing covers with the lack of an audience and began to tinker with some original music to remedy our boredom. Once we had a good handful put together we decided to reach out and find some potentially permanent members to join. We went through several bassists for a few years before finally finding Luke Sowell in 2015. Luke performed as a bass player with us at our first two shows, the Fox Creek talent show and the North Augusta battle of the bands. We took second place in both events. After battle of the bands we began to looking for a second guitar player. We had no luck in that department, until we found John Niechniedowicz. (NickDuhDoeVich) John was interested in playing bass for us and being a good friend of ours we accepted him, after asking Luke if he would like play guitar instead. Luke agreed and three became four. We just recently finished recording our first album titled "car rides to nowhere" and hope to have it mastered and released soon.

Any larger venues are asked to provide a house PA system, any smaller venues are not required to provide one,however, if you can provide one it would be preferred.
