Thee Ancient Asses

Thee Ancient Asses' live show consists of three dynamic and unique personalities that lend themselves to create a sense of camaraderie with the audience and each other, with catchy tunes that inspire and leave everyone feeling like a winner by the end of the night. Their set list consists of mostly original songs influenced by a vast array of musical genres and real life experience that conveys a soul-rich authenticity rarely found in rock and roll.

Thee Ancient Asses are a folkadelic punk power trio from Austin, TX. Having recently awakened from lives as fluorescently lit corporate cogs in NYC, longtime friends Akshay Bimbhet and Jon Hanford formed Thee Ancient Asses in 2022 during a Molly-fueled weekend camping at Desert Daze music festival.

Thee Ancient Asses have gotten to work quickly, composing and releasing their debut album "Shift The Paradigm" in 2023, recorded as a guitar-drum duo by Grammy-winning and legendary grunge producer Jack Endino.

Their unique brand of folk rock fuses catchy hooks and stratospheric guitar tones with brotherly banter and learned insights that will make you want to tune into your frequency and leave the BS behind!

We can provide most of our own equipment and run our own sound if need be, but ideally the venue would provide a sound system, live sound engineer, and stage lighting.
