I booked Hound for a micro wedding and he was fantastic! He went over and beyond to learn and perform some special requests to his professional set-up to his superb interaction skills with all guests…I would hire him again and again and recommend anyone to do so, also! Such a professional!
The Hound Brown went out of his way to provide beautiful music for my Dad’s service. He was able to round up another wonderful studio musician on guitar and agreed to work with a piano musician, Cody Campbell, that I found whom he’d never met before. They were all so professional, dressed appropriately, arrived early to practice, and made brilliant renditions of three favorite hymns! It could not have been better. They were all so kind and personable too.

Hound Brown was incredibly responsive and helpful with planning this event. He got back me quickly every time! He arrived early and set up - his gear all looked so professional in our Brentwood offices.
Along with the cover music we requested he played some of his own songs that were REALLY good! He is very talented. Some people just really GET music and Hound is one of those people!
A few of the girls in the audience had had a few drinks and were shouting "Play Beyoncé" and he handled that situation like a true gentleman :) I HIGHLY recommend the Hound Brown for your next event!!

The HOUND Brown…
is an accomplished veteran Nashville-based artist/songwriter/musician as well as an author/satirist/voice actor and homegrown philosopher. A genuine raconteur best described as authentically #realasdirt.
He has toured, written, and recorded with major national acts including the Zac Brown Band, John Berry, Martina McBride, Susy Bogguss, Billy Dean and many many more from the stage of the Grand Ole Opry to all over the country and world.
Career highlights include numerous album credits as a musician and writer, including a Grammy winner, a full length hit musical; “The Bell Witch,” and four independent albums.
Brown co-penned the Joe Nichols Universal title-track, “Real Things” in ‘07, and his literary work bookended the Zac Brown Band folk art/cookbook “Southern Grounds” in 2010.
Brown is heavily influenced by artists such as Jackson Browne, the Allman Brothers Band, Darrell Scott, Rodney Crowell and Guy Clark, Mark Twain, Lyle Lovett and Randy Newman along with authors Rick Bragg, Pat Conroy, Faulkner, Hemingway, and of course, GOD and the Bible.
A frequent guest since 2006 on the syndicated radio show the BIG SHOW with JOHN BOY and BILLY, Hound has penned many jingles for commercial clients as well as work for major tv networks.
He created and cofounded the music/tv/multi-media brand @rollingsmokenation in 2016. Debuting the theme-song “Eat It Up” as the headline entertainment for the @worldfoodchamoionships in 2018-19.
In the Spring of 2022, Hound formed his new dream southern-soul/Americana supergroup, @americanscarecrow, and is currently working on two album projects to be released in 2024 as well as numerous projects for commercial clients, radio and tv-networks.
