Amidst running businesses and touring the globe in 2017 Songbird self published her first book of poetry, MASS MATTER MAGIC, which is available on Amazon.
Theresa brought ALL the energy to our event, and the guests were in awe of her spoken word genius! Many Amens echoed during and after the performance. I look forward to working with her again, particularly with our youth to encourage them to learn how to use and command their voices.
When I tell you, I have been trying to get the songbird to bless my stage for years and now I got her. Oh my! My guest wasn’t ready for what was coming! All I can say is POWERFUL!!! We hired Theresa to perform at our second annual rare disease health equity summit and she was PHENOMENAL! From a 45 minute conversation we had with her to explain the rare disease experience she created the most incredible, authentic poem that felt like she had been part of the rare community her entire life. Oh my goodness...where do i start with Theresa. We absolutely LOVED her. She was great from start to an amazing finish! She wrote a poem that was especially written for our event and corporate banking audience. The poem on point from the first time she wrote it and sent it to us for feedback. We had no changes. Additionally, her delivery of the spoken word poem was awesome. Everyone loved it. She was available when i needed her throughout the process and showed up on time for the event run through. She even stayed until the end even though she was placed at the start of our program. I hope I get the opportunity to invite her to perform at another event in the future.

I had the pleasure of booking Theresa tha SONGBIRD for the Howard University Bison On The Lake (150th Anniversary Celebration) at the Ritz Carlton on Lake Oconee. This was our inaugural event and we decided to create a Jazz/Spoken Word Chill Suite. However, I needed someone with some producing experience and Theresa nailed it. I talked with Theresa about our vision and she delivered a great show with ease and perfection. Theresa created a run of show with the spoken word artists and jazz artist and created a masterpiece of combined performances.
As with any event, we knew what we wanted from the event; and could only pray that the results were favorable. Prayers were answered. The event was a success. The multi-talented Theresa tha SONGBIRD was outstanding as she served as host and entertained the guests with her thought provoking poems and amazing vocal talent. Her stage presence was powerful and her kindred spirit resonated with the audience and she held the crowd in the palm of her hand.
