Major Thom and The Radiation offers an electrifying rock show guarenteed to make you dance!
We put the "Radio" in Radiation playing hits from the 70's, 80's, 90's, and beyond. Major Thom is a stylistic chameleon and seasoned guitarist and bandleader that brings his professional expertise to your event. Thom has been playing professionally in Austin for over a decade alongside with teaching at School of Rock. He holds a Bachelors of Music degree in guitar performance and understands how to play to a room and bring the best talent to the show.
Included in the band is a full PA setup designed for small to large rooms and even smaller outdoor events. Lights can also be provided upon request.
Thom Metz was a true pro when he filled in with our band. He knew the material, was prompt, and easy to work with on every level. I would recommend him for a fill-in gig of any genre or event.

Major Thom and The Radiation provides high energy covers of all the best music from Chuck Berry to The White Stripes with a healthy dose of the ‘80’s with hits from bands like The Romantics, The Cars, Queen, The Stray Cats, The Beatles, and Jimi Hendrix to name a very short list.
Available for up to 2 hours of solo acoustic music with vocals or 3 hours with a full rock band (live sound included). Rates vary depending on the size of the ensemble and the length of performance.
