I met Tom for the 1st time last week on an online playing platform.
This quality of drumming and sound I did not expect.
Tom is an absolute professional player, very flexible in music genres, with a solid tempo and an endless range of skills.
I did not expect this level of musicianship online.

Thomas is simply a great drummer who demonstrates impeccable timekeeping, rhythm and coordination, an understanding of drum patterns and fills, and mastery of essential techniques. In addition, Thomas exhibit musicality, adaptability, passion, drive, and a very fluid playing style.
His acoustic drumkit has a superb sound.
Last nights Jamulus session was one of the best sessions ever.

I've been jamming online with Tom for over a year now. If you are looking for a drummer for whatever music you're playing, stop! You've found him! We jammed on Take Five and he played an incredible drum solo...in five! Most drummers I know can't play like that in four!

If being a great drummer isn't enough, Tom also has a big heart and a great sense of humor. Seriously, just hire the man!

Tom is just an invaluable addition to a session…
Funny personality, broad interest in music styles, tight and steady drumming, great listening skills.
He feels the music and knows how to get the right groove, without bells and whistles.
The way he picked up the « intent » on 4-5 of my compositions on the fly, playing them for the first time, was simply stunning!!!
And this was an online jam session with musicians from Canada and Eastern US. How he managed keeping steady despite latency was incredible!
I highly recommend!!

As a musician/Bassist/song writer my passion is Fusion/Prog/Rock and I work in complex rhythms and Tom kills my sometimes intricate compositions without a missed beat.

Very big for me as well, he does so with joy, "You gotta live your life, you gotta live live your life in full" ...and Tom brings this light with every beat, a rhythmic passion beyond compare.

Tom is my favorite JK drummer, no doubt.
His drumming is always in the pocket, despite any latency.
Outstanding skills & feeling, being very versatile and most of all: he listens to other players and ability to adjust his playing immediately - all of the before motioned ingredients make him a 'Gold Level Player' on JamKazam.
His acoustic drum kit sounds fantastic and 'alive', his setup for online playing is perfect.

I am hosting sessions on JamKazam and never came across a drummer who can ignore latency issues when playing online.
Latency seems to be a foreign word for Thomas, his timing is always perfect, he can play 'in the pocket' despite of internet latency.
This skill is hard to find on JamKazam, thus very enjoyable for other session participants.
An outstanding drum sound and overall great musicianship make Thomas a perfect jam buddy.

in 1989 Tom and I performed an original tune with our jazz-rock-formation "Insert Coin". Latin style. In January 2020 the band came together again and we reorganized that song and arranged it contemporary. Since we have no drummer I decided to play drums this time instead of guitar. I wanted to play the fantastic licks and grooves which Tom did 31 years ago. All we had to begin with was an old low budget VHS video in horrible quality. I asked Tom whether he was able to record the drums again and put the new tracks over the old video.
HE DID INCREDIBLE, within 1 week I had a new recording of the old drum track. He put the new track over the old video. I then was able to write a chart and play it like he did . He is incredible and Tom is still a part of the band. Edmonton is not that far away from Cochem/Mosel , Germany.

Thomas is our first choice substitute drummer. Our music is mainly Blues-Jazz based and we always have a real good time when he is accompanying us. The whole band sounds different, his versatility and ability to play 'in the pocket' makes him an outstanding instrumentalist. We would love to have him as a permanent band member, unfortunately his schedule does not allow for that.

Hi there,
Last year we were looking for a country music drummer for a fundraising event.
Our band was thrown together in a hurry and Thomas' name was referred to us by another musician who played with him before.
We had a blast at the event, we were able to establish the solid and steady foundation for this kind of music right from start and I felt really good (I play bass) to play with a drummer who understands the concept of country music. On top of it he knew almost every tune we did!
Although we had no rehearsal we did two complete sets, all guests and friends were really surprised how well we did. Thomas played a major role in making this event very successful.

Thomas and I were in a couple of bands together that played a pretty broad genre of music. Thomas never failed to provide the requisite drumming required of him. He was well prepared, very punctual and has a great personality to boot. I know he is very professional in his approach to all aspect of music. I am finicky with drummers but I have no reservation in recommending Thomas In any musical situation.

Tomas did 2 rehearsals with us before we found a drummer who was able to commit to our Blues band project.
It is a sheer pleasure to meet a drummer who blends right in from the beginning. Tomas would have been the perfect match for our project. His tasteful and dynamic playing, the addition of little fills or ghost notes added so much to our overall sound. Impeccable time, fantastic technique, a wonderful attitude, and sensitivity like no other drummer I've ever played with.

Thomas seems to pick up on every single nuance you play and complement it perfectly with the lightest of touches. Playing with Thomas is a conversation, and he's a gifted conversationalist... adding to the dialogue, moving the "conversation" forward, pushing and pulling here and there with musical thoughts, ideas, and responses. You can't help but play better as the ideas flow back and forth and you find yourself with a multitude of rhythmic directions to explore.

Bottom line: Thomas will raise the level of your playing and the playing of the rest of your band; the guy's a "next level" player and a total pro, and I can't recommend him highly enough.

Thomas & I are both part of Edmonton's Capital City Big Band, him as a drummer and I as a vocalist. I've had the opportunity to perform with Thomas on a few occasions so far, and have been very impressed with his playing. I was particularly impressed with is his solo on composer Louis Prima's "Sing, Sing, Sing." I would absolutely recommend Thomas for future gigs, especially in the jazz genre. I had Thomas in my studio a while ago to lay down 3 drum tracks for a project of mine.
The whole process was easier done than said, I was very impressed.
Everything from set up including recording and wrap up was done on a Sunday afternoon and his drumming was top notch!

I have been playing music with Thomas since we were teenagers. Even then he was an amazing drummer. A few years later we got the chance to work together again in a band for several years, and it was always great working with him. His wonderful personality, his skills as a drummer, solid, perfect time, and versed in all genres from Waltz to all Standards, to Funk and Rock. I am currently playing with the cat who worked with Donna Summer, did the 70's world tours with Barry Manilow, plays Symphony and Musicals, teaches and played for so many more world famous artists. Thomas can keep up with the best of them, and will always be my first call if there is a chance to work with him. I hope we can gig together in LA again soon!

Very skilled drummer with an impeccable metre and wide range of musical abilities. Thomas has stepped up numerous times for gigs and recording sessions.
