Thompson Newkirk is New York City's southern
pop rock artist. Thompson's music is guitar
forward, upbeat, and lyric based. He tells stories
about love lost, getting kicked out of Canada,
run-in's with the law, and not letting the harsh
realities of life win over the soul.
Thompson was recently awarded Elixir Strings
“Artist of the Month” and was interviewed and
published in Canvas Rebel’s physical and online
editorial magazine. Thompson has appeared in
several music blogs. People have compared his
style of playing and writing to Tedeschi Trucks
Band, Dire Straits, Jason Isbell, and Phish.

We as the artist can provide as much or as little technical support as the host may need. If the space that we are performing in has no sound equipment, we can provide that. We can provide all of our own instruments and mics and we are as well capable to use house equipment if the host prefers.
