Thank you so much Michele! I always love to sing and play for your residents and staff, and they are so appreciative.

We have used Enda and few times to provide entertainment to our patients and residents. Her music selection was wonderful, and they all loved it. She is a very talented artist and plays keyboard and guitar well. Can't wait to have her play some Carol King again.

Always love playing for these folks! Music is a healer and many times people with memory issues respond in such an emotional way. Sometimes they would cry and I would feel bad but they’d say, “No, this is great! It brings back wonderful memories!”

What to Expect
When you hire me, you can rest assured as I am responsible, professional, friendly and accommodating and I will arrive on time. I have a lot of gear to haul in and set up, so I am not inconvenienced easily. I have a few different sound systems to choose from according to the size of the room or type of event. I dress accordingly for a casual or a fancier type of gig and I love to participate in themed events with appropriate costumes. If given enough time in advance, I can learn most songs if you have some requests. I cover many genres from pop, rock, country, RnB and Jazz, so I usually have something for most folks. I'm upbeat and I have a lot of fun performing as music has always brought me a lot of joy. I put a lot of emotion in my performances, as music is art from the depths of one's soul. In my bio, you will see where I volunteer and perform for a hospice company, and that is so rewarding for me especially when patients with memory challenges can "remember again" through the therapy of music. I am a solo performer, but I work with tracks I've created or purchased so I have a "full band" sound for most selections. I always have back up gear with me in the unlikely event something should fail. In my over 40 years of performing, I have never had any incident where my gear failed and I could not fix it. That is a good thing for performers who work alone.
About
Hi there! Thank you for checking out my profile. I am a multi-instrumentalist/singer where music is such a HUGE part of my life, playing professionally since the 80s. Before I remember words, I can recall music and how much joy it brought me. Raised by Irish immigrant parents, I grew up listening and playing Irish folk and pub songs and I still play them and have written a few of my own! I was seven when I started religiously listening to the radio and I could tell you then the Top 40 tunes and the artists who sang them. Needless to say, I just had to study music fully and so I achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Cal State Fullerton, studying percussion. I have worked in many orchestras, notably the Johnson City Symphony in Tennessee, where I was the Principal of the section. I was First Call Percussionist for the Barter Theatre in Virginia, hired for their musicals. While living in Tennessee, I played with showcase artists both Pop and Country playing Latin/Contemporary percussion. I also toured with TRUTH, a Contemporary Christian Pop/Rock band. In music retail, I worked at Guitar Center in Knoxville, helping fellow musicians, beginners and pros find great gear and I benefitted so much from the vendors' reps, regarding gear and product knowledge. At the same time, I was gigging in restaurants and bars playing keyboards and guitar, singing covers of artists from the 60s to the early 2000s. Having a difficult time finding responsible and sober fellow musicians, I decided to create my own "phantom band" by producing and creating the backing tracks on my KORG keyboard to play along with. It worked out really well... my "band" was always on time and ready to play plus they didn't ask for much! haha I have also been DJing since 2006 throughout Tennessee and California for many different events, private parties, corporate venues and weddings. Recently, I have been volunteering my time performing for a hospice company, for patients and their staff at different Skilled Nursing and Memory Care Centers. Very rewarding to say the least! I continually gig with my piano playing buddy Paul, accompanying him on drums and vocals, and you can find us often in Newport Beach at the Yacht Club, American Legion and Elks Lodge locations in Orange County. Although I play in different musical situations, I am currently more interested in singing and playing guitar and keyboards with my dependable "phantom band" constantly learning new songs and requests from folks like you! Living with my awesome husband Eugene of 35 years, my two adorable kitty boys and my thirteen fish, my life is full and joyous. Our amazing son Brendan, who is also an incredible drummer and guitar player, lives in gorgeous East Tennessee and we see him often as we miss him so. I fill in my days with my work as a substitute teacher and I work part time as a financial advisor. You can also check out my Instagram account under the_singing_advisor. Well thanks for your time reading through my bio and if you like what you see and hear, please don't hesitate to reach out to me through Gigsalad. Have an AWESOME day!
