For more than 15 years, experienced singer/songwriter Tim Cheesebrow has entertained audiences across Minnesota. His polished music has been described as a “hopeful and heartfelt celebration of life on Earth” with a liberal dose of “Great Lakes heart.” His melodies are simple, catchy and artfully crafted. His lyrics are a mixture of profound and lighthearted messages but always thoughtful and detailed.
Tim can play as a solo act, or as part of a group.
Group members can include: Guitar, Bass, Percussion, Accordion, Mandolin, Pedal Steel Guitar, Piano, and Fiddle.
Tim had a great variety of music for the audience. This was a party of 50 folks
ranging in age from 40-85. Everyone there enjoyed what they heard. Would
hire again.
Price Range: $300-$1500
Gig Length: 60 - 180 minutes

You can expect folky, memorable melodies, interesting guitar work, thoughtful lyrics and a down-to-earth sound. Think John Mellencamp meets Zac Brown and gets in a bar fight with Hootie and the Blowfish while Jackson Browne nurses a beer...or something like that.
Tim is easy to work with, professional and experienced. If you're looking for great music without any hassle you won't be disappointed by hiring Tim for your next event.
- provides the sound system.
- can perform solo/duo or full band
- can perform orignals, covers or a mix
- experience playing different types of events means he has appropriate music for any setting.
- prefers playing music to talking...he promises not to attempt to engage your guests in awkward
stage banter. It's uncomfortable for everyone.
Coined a “critically acclaimed Minnesota favorite” by Northfield News, this father of three has created a buzz around the Twin Cities with his three full-length albums and work with some of the most respected and accomplished musicians in the area. This classically-trained musician has charmed audiences not only with his blend of singable folk melodies and captivating, percussive guitar work, but also with his devotion to music education. In addition to crafting and recording his own music, Tim also runs Discover Music, a nonprofit that teaches K-12 students to write and record their own songs.
I can bring all my own gear and lights. It takes me about 30 minutes to set up for a solo show, an hour for a band show. If you're paying hourly and I'm setting up a PA, I'll tack on an hour for setup/takedown.
If you're providing sound I need a mic stand/cables for each performer, at least one monitor, and a mixer capable of handling all the channels.

I perform mostly originals with a smattering of covers to fit the occasion.
I have an extensive book of covers that I bring to every gig, and while I do not typically take requests, I will gladly play any song in the book if you ask.
