Tim McGraw Tribute Artist Lee Crites

It will be as much fun and excitement as actually going to a Tim McGraw event!

Being born May 4, 1967, just 3 days after Tim McGraw, I guess you could say was the first step for me to becoming a Tim McGraw Tribute Artist. The second step took over 37 years to happen for me. It was in 2004, when I began entering singing competitions and doing well, that people started telling me that I look just like Tim McGraw. Soon after I did some research on Tim McGraw and found a lot of similarities between us including looks, age, music preference, and our love for performing live on stage. In 2006 I even won a celebrity look-a-like competition (obviously as Tim's look-a-like).

In 2007, at a minor league baseball game, I was asked by the event staff if they could put me on the big screen at the stadium because I look so much like Tim McGraw. The whole crowd was curious if Tim McGraw was actually at the game. As the game concluded I was asked to go on the field and sing a song with the mascotts. The whole arena including the media thought I was actually Tim McGraw and nearly mobbed the field trying to get to me. Obviously they were eventually told I wasn't the country superstar, but it was at that moment that I realized I might have what it takes to perform as a Tim McGraw Tribute Artist.

Since then I have performed at many private and public functions, charity events, fairs, and festivals all over the US; including shows with country music artists Jimmy Wayne and Keith Anderson, and Jo Dee Messina, and I also performed 2016 Super Bowl weekend in Phoenix, AZ at the Gridiron Hoops Celebrity Fundraiser Event. I have also been on the nationally-televised show's NFL Full Contact on TruTV , The CBS Sunday Morning News Show, the reality show "Master P's Family Empire". and in 2011 I did a live interview and performance on St Louis top rated morning show"The Fox2 Morning Show with Tim Ezell".

Along with singing, I also, like McGraw, have acting experience. In 2011 I was asked to play a role in an Independent film called "Backstage Drama." which actually won a Michigan Film Emmy Award.
To me, my biggest accomplishment through my career has been being honored to sing the National Anthem, on numerous occasions, at the Detroit Tigers minor league baseball team, The West Michigan Whitecaps, baseball game's...............
the minor league team that actually sparked the beginning of my career as a Tim McGraw Tribute Artist.

Soon after becoming friends with Tim McGraw's former keyboardist of over 20 years, Jeff McMahon from the Dancehall Doctors, I became a member of Team McGraw and picked up the nickname "the Timposter" by Jeff himself as I started training for the 2011 New York City Marathon. As a member of Team McGraw I help to raise money for the Tug McGraw Foundation that support's brain cancer research and development. As a member of Team McGraw, I ran and finished the 2011 New York City Marathon,and the 2013 St Judes Nashville Country Music 1/2 Marathon, again raising money for The Tug McGraw Foundation. As a cancer survivor myself, I plan to continue to help raise funds through MyMcGrawShow, and as a member of Team McGraw, for the Tug McGraw Foundation to help with quality of life for individuals and their families battling brain cancer.

I am very blessed and honored to have the many opportunities, past and present, to perform a tribute to such a great entertainer and individual as Tim McGraw and to continue help support the efforts of brain cancer research & development through the Tug McGraw Foundation.
