Tim Oates is southern California’s premier jazz/pop/big band singer specializing in singing and performing the hit songs of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Bobby Darin, Neil Diamond, and more.

Tim was born into a musical family. His late father Bob was an extremely talented man excelling at singing, whistling and yodeling, and spent his life entertaining audiences throughout the western United States.
Bob also lent his many talents to several Hollywood productions and enjoyed a career in radio, television and film.

From father to son, the torch was passed. Tim continues the family tradition of singing, entertaining and delighting audiences wherever he performs.

Notable Accomplishments:
At the age of nine, Tim’s first paid job was acting as an extra in the 1962 Elvis Presley movie “Kid Galahad” which was filmed in his hometown of Idyllwild, California.

While in high school, Tim performed in several of his father’s concerts throughout the southland and on his father’s album “Bob Oates Presents”.

Tim released an album of his own entitled “The Songs of My Life” featuring many of his favorite songs of Frank Sinatra.

His singing has been featured on radio KHPY in Riverside, California.

Tim has performed with many jazz musicians in the greater Los Angeles area and is currently the featured singer with the California based big bands 'The Velvetones' and the 'Beach Cities Big Band'.

Tim and his wife Jackie are ardent volunteers for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. They spend several days each year volunteering and helping the staff organize fund raising events throughout the greater Southern California where Tim enjoys singing the National Anthem at the start of many of these events.

Tim provides all his own professional PA equipment. So, all you need to provide is a power outlet and Tim will take care of the rest!
