Timbason la Original

This was the second show Timbason la Original performed for us and they were so much fun! This show was in a smaller venue, so Jose Lorenzo brought fewer performers which worked out perfectly. I definitely recommend them, and look forward to hiring them again!

I hired Timbason la Original to play a community block party event and they were fantastic! The crowd was dancing and everyone really enjoyed themselves. The band members were all very professional and friendly. Jose Lorenzo was great to work with. I look forward to working with them again and would recommend this awesome band to anyone seeking a fun night of Cuban music!

We held a fundraising event with the theme of "Havana Night” and I credit Timbason La Original with helping to make our event a huge success. Their infectious music was the highlight of our evening.

Jose and the rest of Timbason crushed it last Saturday. Our non-profit holds an annual gala called Toast to the Heroes each year and this year's theme was Havana Nights. What a spectacular show Timbason put on for our guests. The music truly added to the tropical atmosphere and revved people up for the evening. Everyone in the bad was full of energy and they worked with us on both band and sound pricing knowing that we were a non-profit with a limited entertainment budget. Thanks Jose.

The band did such a great job at my brother-in-laws surprise birthday party. The song selection, flexibility with providing a smaller version of the 11 piece band, and personalization (bday song played in English and Spanish) was excellent. They kept everyone on their feet. I would recommend them to anyone. They were worth paying the extra cash over my budget.

We hired Timbason to play at a surprise retirement party for my father. They were very professional and flexible to work within our budget. We made two song request which they rehearsed and played perfectly. All our guests were ecstatic with the music and danced all night. They arrived early to make sure they didn't encounter delays and followed the schedule we gave them perfectly. We'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a Latin band.

Timbason did a repeat performance at my client party this year, with the same excellent results. They are simply one of the most talented Cuban bands for hire in the country. Their love of musicianship and enthusiasm for the different Cuban styles -- son, bolero, guajira, rumba and others -- comes through on every number. The music is of such high quality that you want to sit and listen to it as if you were at a concert, but it's so good that you and your guests won't be able to stay in your seats -- this is dance music of the highest order. Timbason is a pure pleasure.

The International Club of DC is an organization for internationally-minded professionals with a membership of over 49,000 individuals in the Washington DC area. We work with over 80 embassies in DC to present a variety of cultural events to our members. We have had the absolute pleasure of working with Jose Lorenzo who heads the Timbason La Original Latin band. Timbason played a at our anniversary party and everybody loved, loved, loved the band. We negotiated a smaller version of the full band (sound and space issues) and it worked out perfectly. Everybody danced and kept asking me who are these guys? They are amazing! Thank you for making our 25th wedding anniversary a little more special.

A group of 6 Timbason performers, including Jose Lorenzo, played at my client appreciation party this past weekend. They were spectacular! I requested that they only perform traditional, slower Cuban songs, to go with a Tropicana nightclub theme, and they went above and beyond to meet this request. Their skills are extraordinary -- it's as if you just hired the Buena Vista Social Club performers to do a personal gig for you. The idea was for them to put on a show for the crowd, who were seated at tables, but people couldn't help themselves -- they got up and started dancing immediately.

Timbason arrived early, were ready to go on time, responded graciously to all requests to change the order of songs, lower the volume, etc. Most importantly, my clients raved about them, and it made the party a great success. Do yourself a favor -- use Timbason at your next event and you'll be the hero.

Timbason is awesome! I got more than my money's worth. The band members arrived well ahead to set up and gave us a ton of great music in three long sets! They were all courteous and friendly to our guests and even threw in some salsa lessons! I would hire Timbason again should the opportunity arise and would definitely recommend to friends, clients and colleagues. Thanks for helping to make my husband's 50th birthday party a great success! You just can't throw a party without great music as the number one priority.

Thank you to Jose Lorenzo and Havana Soul for performing at the Imagine Festival, held in Richmond, VA on 10/19/13. The band did a great job in closing our multicultural event, held outdoors at Broad Rock Park. In spite of the rain, the band got the audience dancing and did a great job! I recommend them for future events.

Timbason created the ultimate salsa, latin dance music for our birthday party dance at Social Graces Ballroom studio last night. Incredibly exciting to see a large group of trained dancers get the ultimate music challenge to show their stuff. The party in Virginia was transported to exotic Latin fantasy lands with this incredible group. As the official birthday girl, all I can say is, let's do it again! Professional, fun group who went the extra mile to make my surprise party a blast. It's one thing to train in the latin dances but it's a dream come true to put it to the test with this authentic, high grade music performed live right in front of you with my friends. Thank you!!!!!

Our school had a Cinco de Mayo fundraiser and decided to incorporate live latin entertainment and we chose Timbason and are so glad we did. There variety of salsa, merengue, latin jazz was outstanding and was a great hit at our event. Both Jose Lorenzo, the owner of the band, and his female vocalist, Laura Soza, were very accomodating with us throughout the evening when we needed to mix in our live auction segment between their musical segments (which did not work well but no fault of Timbason!) but I can tell you when they sang it was well worth the wait for the attendee's. I plan on booking them for another non-profit which I am on their board and would highly recommend them to anyone that would like to have latin musical variety by a very talented band. In addition to Jose and Laura, the rest of the band was equally as great. Keep up the great work Timbason!!

Today is the first day since the wedding that I have touched my email, so sorry for the delay! Timbason was awesome!!! I was incredibly impressed with you and Sam Hill, and the band was great to work with. My event coordinator at the site said that everyone showed up early, and most importantly, their music was perfect! Everyone was dancing and raving about how great they were. The caterer also wanted their information so that she could recommend them to people. I eventually want to go on to your site to post my review to let everyone know how great they were. I was slightly nervous since I had never seen them perform before (just heard the samples on your website), but they were even better than what I was expecting.

Timbason was fabulous! People hit the dance floor once Timbason began playing and it remained packed until the music stopped. We have received numerous compliments on the quality of the band. I believe very much in supporting performing artists. Nothing comes close to the real thing. Thank you again for your help. It was a pleasure doing business with your company and Timbason.

We love Timbason! They Really got the crowd going tonight and up on their feet dancing!. Their music was really high energy and just what we needed to start out our summer concert series. The guys were great to work with - very courteous and gracious and their music was superb. Many people complimented them at the end of the evening. Port Warwick will definitely have Timbason back next year! They were fantastico!

I think everyone should hire a salsa band for their weddings. Everyone had the best time with Timbason. I don't think I could have gotten more compliments about their performance.
