"Band" lineups of Tina Kenny and The Balance feature high-energy dance and rock music performed live. Additional live or recorded cocktail hour and/or dinner music can be included for an additional fee. The band provides our own professional-grade sound and lighting equipment to produce a highly-polished visual and sonic experience. The musicians can dress casually, formally or anywhere in between, depending upon the event.

"Acoustic" lineups of Tina Kenny and The Balance feature acoustic versions of jazz standards, pop and rock music; the music can be as low-key or upbeat as necessary. The band provides our own professional-grade sound and lighting equipment to produce a highly-polished visual and sonic experience. The musicians can dress casually, formally or anywhere in between, depending upon the event.

For weddings and parties, we can provide "Master of Ceremonies" (MC) services, including introductions, announcements, and audio reinforcement for speeches and toasts. For bars and restaurants, we can promote any food or drink specials, offers, or upcoming events by making announcements during our set(s).

Led by unforgettable vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Tina Kenny, Tina Kenny and The Balance is a 4-piece dance band with decades of combined experience performing at weddings, parties, restaurants, nightclubs, and aboard cruise ships. Our world-class musicians include two graduates of the prestigious Berkley School of Music, and all are highly accomplished and experienced instrumentalists and vocalists.

Our massive repertoire ranges covers everything from Jazz Standards to Acoustic Ballads, Top 40 Pop to Country, Classic Rock to Modern Rock, with a strong emphasis on modern Pop and 1980s Pop and Rock. But a large song list is not uncommon among professional bands; what really makes us stand out is that whether it's Ella Fitzgerald, Katy Perry, Led Zeppelin, or Brad Paisley, each and every song is performed to the same sky-high standards, with skin-tight harmonies and even tighter grooves. We believe that "anything worth doing is worth doing well", and take great pride in maintaining this level of musical excellence.

Maybe you want lots of Pop, and absolutely no Rock; or maybe you hate Country, but love everything from the 1980s. The advantage of our large variety of music lets us work closely with you to choose exactly the kind of music that you want to hear at your event or establishment. If some your favorites are not on your list, we will gladly learn your requests (within reason, of course).

Tina Kenny and The Balance knows that not every event or establishment is created equal; that's why we offer a wide variety of lineups to accommodate any event, venue, and budget. We can provide anything from a solo instrumentalist or singer to an acoustic duo to a 4-piece or larger dance band, which means we can offer the perfect live music solution for any situation!

We have a few simple requirements to help us to help you make your event go off without a hitch:

- Adequate space for the band. We may take up more space than you expect; PLEASE run this by us before booking.
- One dedicated 110-volt 20-amp circuit (check with the venue if you are unsure; they will know what this means)
- Full access to the performance area/stage (including loading areas) at least 3 hours prior to the beginning of the performance
- Free (or complimentary) parking within a reasonable walking distance (5 minutes or less) of the venue
- Space to change clothes (i.e., a clean restroom, a changing room, a clean closet)
- Secure space to store equipment cases during the performance. If this is unavailable, we'll need extra time to bring these out to our vehicles.
- Minimum of 20 minutes to "Sound Check"*
- Please inform us of any announcements or introductions you would like us to make before the event starts.
- We can provide microphones for speeches and/or toasts.

* "Sound Check" involves speaking into microphones and playing music at full performance volume before the beginning of the performance to ensure that all equipment is working properly, in order to prevent "technical difficulties" from interrupting the performance. For weddings and parties, we strongly prefer to soundcheck BEFORE ANY GUESTS ARRIVE, as it can involve unpleasant and loud noises.
