Overview
Trinidad North Steel Band Duo is one of the most popular steel band groups in the MD, NJ, DE, PA, NYC areas. Leader, David Gettes is a master steelpan builder, tuner, musician and arranger. Since 1985, he has built many steel orchestra programs through out the United States and has won prestigious awards (Festival of Masters- Disney) for the tonal quality of the drums he builds. This duo is extremely tight and play an amazing variety of songs in the soca, calypso, reggae, rock, jazz, genre. They have an outstanding reputation and are super easy to communicate and work with. They specialize in private parties, weddings, and anywhere where their music will make people happy!

Trinidad North added a great deal to our daughter's wedding cocktail hour. Lively and spirited, Dave played two pans and his colleague played drum kit. This added a nice touch.

Through Gig Salad I read the reviews from the Trinidad Steel Drum Band. Hired them for our rain or shine back yard Luau Party on Saturday, 5/18/13. They're amazing!!! Our guest raved about their performance! Everyone felt as though I had taken them away to the Caribbean for the day. I would highly recommend them and plan on hiring them again in the near future.

Trinidad North Steel Band is a father and son duo. David is a master steelpan builder, tuner, player and arranger. Since 1985, he has built steel orchestra programs through out the United States and has won prestigious awards (Festival of Masters- Disney) for the tonal quality of the drums he builds. His 16 year old son Jeremy has been playing drum kit since he was 4. He is a gifted and completely natural drummer with 13 years of formal percussion study to solidify his technique and develop his musicality. He now teaches his own students! The duo is extremely tight and play an amazing variety of songs in the soca, calypso, reggae, rock, jazz, genre. Outstanding reputation. Easy to work with.
