We hired Trio Sol de Mexico to play during the cocktail hour at our wedding, and they were wonderful! Everyone loved the music and the trio looked and sounded amazing. We requested more "acoustic" sounding songs without much singing and they went above and beyond to accommodate. My only regret is not hiring them for the entire night!

I booked this group with a deposit for my grandpas 100th birthday. The day of the party, i touched base with him. He said he was ready. Then got a text 30 mins after they were to arrive, they said they were running late, but never showed up, did not reply to any texts, or calls. He text the next day, stating he would refund my money, with no apology.
It's been almost a week, and still no refund, and won't answer calls or texts.
They conduct bad business, and are thief's.

The trio was great. This was an older church group and the trio linked in very quickly. They arrived early and played a little beyond the appointed tim; but it was just right. They fit in perfectly and the entire group of attendees expressed how much they enjoyed the music. We would definiteiy have them back again!

Hired them to serenade my mother in law on her 70th birthday and she was so happy. They were responsive, communicated with me before they arrived, and put on a great little 15 min performance of come classics from her era. They had a very warm presence, sounded great and we are very happy with how everything turned out.

Made my mother's 80th birthday extra special with music she loved from long ago. Musicians were talented, knowledgeable, and engaging. They took requests and engaged the audience to sing along. In addition, they tailored the music to whatever songs my mother requested. I will definitely recommend to others.

making the event memorable. I have musician friends (jazz, blues) who complain about tourists
asking for the same old tired numbers over and over, like "Stardust" or "Hold that Tiger," and I
suppose I was one of those, but Sol de Mexico dutifully played "Historia de un Amor" and other
old-time faves for us without complaining, benditos sean. Love and sentiment is not out of style-!O'rale!

Our HOA hosted a "Tacos and Tequila" event last week. The budget was tight, so my real estate business partner and I decided to sponsor a mariachi band to make the event more festive. Mario, Salvador and Perla arrived early, set up quickly and were the perfect addition to the event! I would definitely recommend this group for your next Mexican-themed event! Or any event, for that matter!

Trio Sol de Mexico have a wonderful sound. They looked great dressed in traditional Mariachi suits. Their voices blend well with their instruments singing traditional Mexican songs and ballads. A mix of fast and slow kept our dinner guests attention. They ended with a rousing version of La Bamba which started a chorus line of our guests to finish off fine hour of music. Thank you for your music and helping us create a great event.
We will definitely ask Trio Sol de Mexico to play for us again in the future.

Three men arrived 30 min prior to the event start. I walked them in and showed Mario where his team will be performing ( outside in the playground area fairly shaded) sun was shifting as the event didn't start until 4pm. I mentioned there was a decorated area that we would love for them to perform by, his sarcastic comment was, "well yea it's fine other then the sun being in our face." So I said, feel free to move as you please. Also, he needed a place to plug in his equipment. As I was setting up food, he asked where he can plug up, I was getting to it but, he insisted with "are you going to get it, or what? I provided an extension cord for them. Performance started, he introduced the band & he interacted with the children very well. I only give 4 stars because of his communication with me. I booked this event, I'm the assistant to the principal of the school where this event took place.

Provided us with a quote which stated we had 6 days to respond was going through and asking for more info, we asked for a specific time for our event and they send us a message saying they booked 5-7 the day of our event but we’re available before or after, I requested 4:30-5pm.

The gentlemen who showed up were friendly and prompt. However, there were only two instead of three. It is Trio Sol de Mexico, not Dos. As a result, some of the songs did not sound as good. Also, they had some technical issues with the sound, often playing too loudly. Nonetheless, a good job for the price paid.

My sister arranged for these musicians to surprise me at my birthday party in a park. The charismatic and talented musicians put on an interactive show enjoyed by all. Interesting times we are living in and this Trio really added some joy to our neighborhood last night. My friends wedding was May 8 in Mexico City and got postponed. I hired Trio Mariachi to play in the street in front of our house and the whole neighborhood got to enjoy. Thank you so much for coming last minute. It truly was magic.

This group very unprofessionally left our party high and dry. No explanation, no contact...just didn’t show. A whole party of high schoolers were disappointed, and we need our money back...unbelievable!

I have never met a group of musicians that is so organized, skilled, kind and easy to plan an event/ surprise with they have it all. I booked Trio Sol de Mexico for my moms surprise party. Not only did they not show but they also did not return any of my phone calls or messages trying to figure out where they were before my mom walked in missing the main reason we booked them...to sing her las mananitas. Finally hours after the party was over we get a message on gigsalad that they had car trouble. (No excuse for not calling.) Later come to find out they were triple booked on gigmasters for a wedding in san jose from 1-2 (my party started at 2pm over 1.5 hours away). Yelp reviews show a history of not showing and making up some lame excuse as to why, I'm sure they will respond with some lousy lie as well. Thank you for ruining the party my sisters and I worked so hard to plan for our mother going through a lot. You guys are a joke! Not only should my deposit be refunded but the band should also cover the costs of my entire party! It looks like a large group of people are ready to sue these guys. They even did this to a wedding. Be careful.

Trio Sol de Mexico was so wonderful! I had a corporate event for about 100 employees that I wanted them to play a few songs at, but I was nervous because they had to come about 1.5 hours away. They made it on time and sounded wonderful! They were so nice and looked great in their outfits. I will be booking them again for other employee events.

Arrived super early to set-up; I had a snafu with my food deliveries for the party, but they were there early enough that guests didn't even notice there was no food on the buffet table because they were just jammin along!

Trio de sol de Mexico played at a 55th Anniversary that I attended. Everything was very nice expect for the trio which was a huge disappointment. All of the songs sounded the same, the singers were out of tune. Maybe it was because they were in there 70s. I was looking at the pictures on this site of the trio,they were not the same ones that showed up at the party. Cannot and will not reccommend. Huge embarrassment for the classy event.

Loved having Trio Sol de Mexico play for my boss's going away party. The band was professional, talented, and great to work with. Would book again!

Very accommodating to all of our requests, arrived early but were willing to wait until the appointed time or start early whatever we wanted. It was perfect timing because the food for the party was late and they took everyone's mind off of their hunger! Throughout the event they played our requests when we had them or played music that fit the mood when we didn't have a particular request.

Will definitely hire them again if I need a Mariachi Trio.

Mario and his group are wonderful. We booked them for an evening Cinco de Mayo performance on the Pyramid Alehouse back patio in Walnut Creek. They arrived on time, were courteous and everyone loved the music. It really made the evening for our guests, and we will definitely be booking them again in the future.

I contracted with Mario from Trio Sol de Mexico for a community event in the City of Mountain View. I could not have been more pleased with the performance. The performers arrived early and played late. They engaged the crowd and my favorite part was the explanation of from where and the sediment behind each song before it was performed. These gentleman are true professionals. Thank you again for performing for the "First Friday" Civic Center Plaza series.

Mario and the other two fabulous musicians were really off the charts fantastic!
I invited him to play for one hour as one of three music acts (harpist, trio & mariachi band) and they really just took the audience by storm! The audience of nearly 1500 people just LOVED Trio Sol de Mexico's sound, their excitement, their choice of songs, and their overall presence. They were so professional and fantastic.
Then, the mariachi band that I hired to play after Mario did not show up!! By this time the trio was half way up Hwy. 1 only to turn around and play for another 30 minutes for us! That is above and beyond anything I have ever experienced!
From the first time I contacted Mario, about our Mole & Mariachi Fiesta, he was timely and clear in his communications and they arrived ahead of time.
I cannot say enough glowing comments about how fantastic this group is. You will be more than pleased with this FANTASTIC TRIO!!! Five stars all around for these three!

I was skeptical about hiring Trio Sol de Mexico for my grandson's birthday party. Both he and I love Spanish music, but most of the guests at the party don't understand the language. However, the gigsalad reviews and my email exchange with Mario won me over. I'm so glad that I hired the Trio. The party guests were very appreciative of the music; some of them even got up and danced. Many people commented on how great the music was. I also liked that the trio showed up ahead of time and talked with me first. Very professional. I wish I had another party coming up so that I could hire them again.

Hired them last minute and they were more than accommodating with my detailed agenda since it was a surprise party. My wife hired this trio last minute and I was very hestitant since we have never heard them before. I was very pleased on thier voices and their attitudes. They made my Grandmothers bday party very special - not just for her but for our whole family. I know we will hire them in the future

Mario, Salvador and Jose Luis were very professional and fun. It was a VERY LAST minute decision and they were very helpful with the price and accomadating our Grandma's 75th bday party. They were dressed as requested which was very traditional and professional. They accomadated EVERY song that was requested by our family and even added their own spice to it. We are definately using them again.

Mario, Salvador & Luis are the epitome of professionalism. They arrived on time, played beautifully and performed every request we asked of them. An event to remember, this trio knew just what to sing and just what to say to celebrate a quinceañera. They were the highlight of this celebration - professional, talented, entertaining, accommodating in every way. They knew all the songs requested. Trio Sol De Mexico were professional, friendly and talented. Mario responded promptly to all of my email/telephone inquiries while we were making the arrangements, as an event planner this is priceless. Trio Sol De Mexico was as professional as any performer I have worked with in the past as a talent booker. Mario Hernandez was very good about keeping in touch up until the day of the event. They arrived at the event well in advance of the requested time and went above and beyond in providing the entertainment for the evening. Their costumes were impeccable. We had over 2000 people at our event and the feedback about the band was nothing short of extremely complimentary. Trio Sol de Mexico is by far the best Trio in the Bay Area. They played songs ranging from La Sonora Santanera, Jose Alfredo Jimenez, Los Tres Ases, Jose Jose and many others. Mario was quick in responding to all my calls and e-mails. My parents who are visiting from Mexico were equally amazed by how talented they are.
