Ben Pastore is many things - author; globetrotter; self-proclaimed class clown. In addition to his speaking credentials, Ben is a published author and travel writer, and is particularly proud of his 2015 travel guide You Can Keep Your Adventure, Just Leave Me the Toilet Paper, which combines his two favorite things - humor & travel - into a unique guide for aspiring globetrotters. He currently resides in Houston, Texas, but as you might imagine is not afraid to travel in order to share his message of increasing joy & satisfaction through travel and multiculturalism, along with the enrichment derived from global awareness.

This presentation has been conceived to bolster your school's efforts to teach the subject in a way that is visually stimulating and complicit with TEA guidelines. This program introduces students in grades 1-5 to essential geographical terms and concepts. Through images, maps and real-life examples, your students will gain deeper familiarity with the basics of geography. Adaptable for all grades, this program takes students around the world--from high up in the Peruvian Andes, to the South African bush, to the teeming waters of Australia's Great Barrier Reef—on a sightseeing tour of animals in their natural habitats. In addition, they are introduced to basic facts & behaviors that support the sciences.

Southern Africa Explorer
This program takes attendees on an expedition through the fascinating region of Southern Africa; highlighting the abundant animal life and natural wonders through six nations, and touching on the historical aspects as well. The journey starts in the game reserves of South Africa with lots of animal facts & photos, winds its way down the aptly named ‘Panorama Route’, then heads northward to Zimbabwe & world-famous Victoria Falls. After exploring this region - including Chobe National Park, Botswana – we cross a thousand miles of the Indian Ocean to visit the Seychelles Islands: Mahe, Praslin, & La Digue for a look at this unique tropical archipelago.
