They'll leave inspired and empowered, equipped with my unique approach to building inclusive environments through relatable metaphors, powerful visuals, and hands-on techniques.
From the moment I start, my goal is to make your event meaningful, practical, and engaging—providing your leaders actionable ways to create environments where every child thrives.
About
As a National Board Certified Teacher with over two decades in education, I help educators transform their high-rigor classrooms into places where resilience and empathy drive real student success. Born without my right hand and thriving despite personal learning challenges, I've developed unique, hands-on strategies to help teachers foster perseverance, empathy, and inclusion. Through engaging stories and practical techniques—like my memorable "Purple Bunnies" metaphor—I equip educators with the tools they need to ensure every student feels seen, supported, and empowered to overcome obstacles. My mission is simple: **build resilient classrooms where every child thrives, no matter the challenge.**

Influences & Inspiration
My work is deeply influenced by researchers and thought leaders who bridge neuroscience, psychology, and education, such as Mary Helen Immordino-Yang, whose insights into emotion and learning have profoundly shaped my approach. Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi’s concept of "flow" guides my understanding of how resilience and perseverance can foster engagement and deep learning. Bessel van der Kolk’s pioneering research on trauma has inspired my commitment to empathetic, inclusive classrooms that recognize and support every learner’s needs. Alongside educators like Rita Pierson, Brené Brown, and Sir Ken Robinson, these influences help me create experiences that resonate emotionally, empower students, and transform educational outcomes.
