Trivial Nonsense is made up of the duo of Brandon Lighty (19) and Luke Mayer (18). The creative pair aims to break down existing industry norms through aggressive grass roots fan movements they have started across the country, as well as going back to the basics and focusing their energy on their art... music.
Coming from different styles of music themselves (Brandon Lighty, lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist through indie rock and folk, and Luke Mayer, the percussionist through rock) Trivial Nonsense brings a new and unique sound to the alternative style. A sound that has consistently sold out venues and set record attendance numbers at others.
I went to experience the excitement, the energy that this guys possess is out of this world! The music is full of power and the content fulfills the cost of the ticket several times over! This band is destined for many great things, and I'm glad to experience it with them!
My name is Michael Harding. I am a Country Music Artist of 41 years. Have had a very successful career of my own. I found these guys and have started working with them to help them with their career. I have had them guest spot on my own concerts and have been working with them on their Record Deal and Bookings. They are on their way!! Great bunch of guys, focused and serious about their music. Great sound and great stage presence. A great show, that is a treat for everyone!

No matter how long the event, Trivial Nonsense's main goal is to keep the audience engaged and participating in the songs. Too often do bands get stuck into their own heads, forgetting about the audience and what they want. It is for that reason that Trivial Nonsense plays a wide variety of music, as well as covering some songs as well. Depending on the type of event, you can expect the band to have guest artists join us on stage as well as audience participation for popular cover songs. The band will be sure to meet before the event and go over their setlist, which is uniquely designed for each performance (unless it is part of one of their National Tours) in order to enhance the experience for our audience. The main inspiration from their performances comes from a famous quote in the music industry, "Make them laugh, make them cry, and leave them wanting more."
Started by lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Brandon Lighty, and joined quickly by lifelong friend and world class percussionist Luke Mayer, Trivial Nonsense has been a dream since childhood. The two, who were brought in music playing completely different genres (Brandon Lighty through folk and indie music and Luke Mayer through rock), the two have blended their styles together to create something truly unique. After only a year together, they had been signed to an independent record label and performed with some of the industry's indie stars including; SHERWOOD, Motherfolk, JJ and the Tucos, Wilder, and more. After buying out their contract and choosing to go independent, the duo's ambition isn't halting, with a full grass roots nationwide movement set in place for the release of their upcoming album. Hoping to spread their sound across the United States and perhaps the rest of the world, the band isn't holding anything back.

Every performance that Trivial Nonsense plays (except when on tour), has a unique setlist that we believe will fit the audience we are playing for. The band will also have a representative meet with the manager of the event, if needed, in order to show what each song on our set sounds like and to adjust anything that needs to be changed.
