I may come off as shy and reserved at first, but when I am put in a room full of people I feel good around, pretty much anything goes. I take my craft very seriously, so you can expect me to maybe "shock" the audience a bit, since I love to improvise and just do what feels right at the moment.
Originally from Lexington, Kentucky, Trix E. Sleeves now resides in Tucson. She began performing burlesque in 2016 while living in New York and has since performed all over the East Coast, with appearances in Toronto and LA as well.
With her Southern charm and East Coast wittiness, Burlesque's Silly Rabbit is sure to make you laugh, and maybe blush a little bit too. Her "Trix" are not for kids, so gear up when she takes the stage!
I am very flexible (haha, yoga teacher, get it?), so I can adapt and bring my act(s) to lots of different scenarios. All I basically ask for is a comfortable space for me to stand (or sit, depending on the event), and plenty of lighting, because I don't have any lights of my own.
I first saw burlesque when I was in my early 20's, and found it strange at first, but when I studied it more intensely, I found that this can be a way to embrace yourself and who you are, and feel comfortable in your own skin. After struggling with body image and weight issues for years, burlesque and other forms of dance, and yoga as well, have helped me appreciate my body and want to show everyone that being proud of yourself is good!
