We are five family guys that share that common bond of loving to rock! We have been rocking bars, parks, private events, festivals, and other venues around the Burgh for going on 8 years now. We are a cover band that likes to mix it up by spanning genres and generations. Our catalog consists of many of your favorite up beat and fun rock, metal, and pop cover songs from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and 2000’s, but mostly the 80’s and 90’s!
This is the first time i heard you guys, and all i can say is wow! I was gobsmacked by the variety of rock music that you guys played. From Chuck Berry to Metallica, the hits kept coming. Loved the surprise bagpipes for AC/DC and some more obsure rock tunes from Iron Maiden , Motley Crue, and the Who. There may not have been a large captive audience , but your passion and enthusiasm was evident.
Response from Tuned Up:
Thank you so much for the kind words Elyse! Yea, we love what we do and we know that at an event like this, everyone is there for the cars and the kids and we are background. The light rain didn’t help either. We play the same no matter if it’s 10 people or 1000. Thank you again and hope you can make it to another show in the future!
Tuned Up

Thank you very much Christine for you kind feedback! We do this for fun, at the same time taking it serious and doing the best we can! We truly appreciate your review of us and we are glad you liked what you heard!

As an audience member at a show, you should expect to hear a lot of familiar, fun, and upbeat cover songs that should have you singing along and dancing. We are a pretty interactive group and love to talk to our audience and goof with each other. And if you don't mind me saying, we've been told that we are pretty darn good! lol As a client, you should expect for us to make every effort to meet your needs! If you have a special song or one or two must-haves, given enough notice, we can let you know if they are within our wheelhouse to do what we can to be accommodating to your requests and special event. We are professional and very easy going.
We are a rock cover band that is made of members who are no strangers to playing everything from small local bars to birthday parties and weddings to large events and festivals. We are all from the Greater Pittsburgh Airport Area. We have families and regular jobs, however, we really enjoy playing music as a passionate hobby! We have all, in some fashion or another, dealt directly with club owners and event planners by booking shows or coordinating in preparation for events. When you hire us, you will get a nice mix of rock and classic rock and sprinkle in a little pop and some metal music that spans multiple generations and genres. But, if I had to narrow it down I would say primarily 80's and 90's rock.
Tuned Up's Members and what they do in the band:
Chuck - Lead Vocals
Nick - Drums and Backing Vocals
Tim - Bass Guitar and Backing Vocals
Dan - Lead Guitar, some Keyboard, and Backing Vocals
Bob - Rhythm Guitar, Keyboard, Backing Vocals, and Bagpipes
We all own our equipment and our PA system, so no need for rentals or any additional fees for renting gear unless you have a huge event or venue that would require more than what we have. To date, we haven't been in that situation. We have used this gear in small bars, large reception halls, and for outdoor events at parks and homes. We do have some lighting if it is required. Our lighting is not big and over the top, but we have multi-color light stands that go to the music and help provide that bit of ambiance. As for staging, we would need just enough room to fit five guys, three amps, keyboards, a drum set, some guitars on stands, and our PA. We've made it work in the smallest of bars and large outdoor events.

Well, with five of us in the group, the spectrum is to broad to narrow it down to just a few! Most of us have been in a number of different bands playing some originals and many, many covers. One member was in an 80's metal cover band playing some harder stuff. Three of our members have been in an all acoustic classic rock band. And three of our members have been in rock and alternative bands. Not to mention the fact that we all like to listen to anything from classic rock to heavy-metal and some pop. We play a wide variety, but I would say primarily 80's and 90's rock and hair metal.
We don't need much! We just need to make sure we have electrical outlets and a cleared out area for us and our gear.
